Equine Transformation - Going ahead - please read for info!

I like the unicorns. You're on a site aimed for younger people, and instead of complaining about how awful this is, why not be grateful? The staff is taking time out of their day to please us when they could just delete the old lines and be done with it.
Also, Ive never seen a unicorn drawn as any of those examples some of you are given. I've always seen them drawn as princess-y, femine creatures.

the princessy look your talking about is what was used in the examples i gave unicorns are often drawn as pretty white horses with horns that are golden and often times they have flowers in their manes and rainbows/a majestic look about them so yes they are girly XD.

The designs on these new ones seem drastically changed. But I cant look at the older lineart to check for obvious reasons.

I think part of it is because of the angle change. It went from a behind rear to a frontal rear so I guess the designs would seem different cause you are looking at them from two different sides lol I could be wrong cause I don't remember what they originally looked like very well, but by my memory they are close, just different angles

I think the red looks abit different, I find the eyes to be a bit big too.
I don't really like the change anyway but changing the unicorns I really don't get. No offense to the artists as im not saying they are badly drawn but they really aint my cup of tea

Yea a lot of people find the eyes too big, I think it makes them cartoony like all the rest of the pets on this site Kinda suits their new look.
lol that's fine, no one will force you to like them. I think the artists are doing their best to try to recreate it as close as they can for us. I mean, the two designs wont be identical cause that is impossible, but they are doing their best. My full respect goes out to them for their work

Agreed. The colours are brighter and the black slightly darker. I remember what the old ones looked like, they were slightly lighter black(grey) and had darker designs. Plus the eyes... They eyes just make me think of MLP... I think the lineart would look nice slightly edited. I'll draw up my idea using these new lines and see what people think? I know they'll not be used but I'll do it anyway just to put my view across and see what other people think.

No, no, no, don't do that! It's against CS rules to edit the lines in any way and, though you'd be doing it more for analysis purposes, altering the lines to show your idea could very easily count as an edit and you might get a warning for it. :C There's a fine line between 'analysis' and 'editing', and that sounds like it would be too far into the editing range.

What?! I'd only be doing it to show what I think they'd look better as... Forget it then. I give up. It seems there's no way of me putting my ideas across without getting a warning for it so I give up. I'm not happy with the change, I don't know how much more I can stress that, and never will be but since I can't show my idea of them being nice I give up. I'm seriously considering just trading away all my horses because of this. Yes I liked the designs but I liked the lineart too and now they don't look right to me So watch my profile. I'll put something on it or in my trades if I decide to trade all my horses away to people who like them.

the tracing issue that you mentioned was ONLY fixed after this change.
eqqui traced the second horse lines in your signature picture, and lied.
it was not solved. it is now solved.
