Flintbreeze smiles, "I promise I'll make sure Redkit is ok." he murmurs

Silverstorm purred softly. She thanked him softly as he groomed her. "I wonder what's going on at camp." Silverstorm said trying to.start up a.conversation.

"Maybe the new kits are running around outside." Blackhaze suggested.

Sunshine reached to lick her mate's cheek. "Thank you." she murmured, nuzzling him gratefully. She felt tied down by the two kits at her belly, but she wouldn't trade them for any sort of freedom the world had to offer.

[squirelife]

"Yeah. I feel had that I haven't visited sunshine though I'm sure she and flintbreeze want some time alone." Silverstorm said looking down at the river.

[EO+RS]

"Well, maybe the new loner kits are. They are older, and Sunpelt's taking care of them, so there probably isn't much alone time for them. Unless the kits are out, that is." meowed Blackhaze reasonably. He felt a small tug in his chest as he thought of kits, but he would wait. He would wait forever. Silverstorm was more important then any desire for kits.

The silvery she-cat carried home her trophy prey in her jaws, carefully holding the squirrel she had caught with caution. The long bushy tail dragged along the forest floor. Red fur tickled her nose, and the warmth of fresh kill tingled in her teeth. She entered camp with a proud air about her, settling her catch on the fresh kill pile with pride. She took a small mouse for herself, and sat in the shade to the side of camp to eat and rest. She tucked her delicate paws under her chest, and ate in silence. Her inquisitve blue eyes watched the camp and it's busy warriors running around in the midday sunshine.

Silverstorm looked back at Blackhaze and she hesitated before responding. "Good point." She said nodding. "Though I'm sure they are enjoying their time with the kits. The clan doesn't have many apprentices either so its nice to see future warriors join." She said smiling. The thought of kits made silverstorm's ears become hot. She realized she was almost embarrassed by the fact that she wanted kits. Though she wouldn't admitted it. No Blackhaze was more important

Blackhaze felt properly embarrassed for the first time since he had told Silverstorm his feelings. "I'm sure that having kits must be... fun for them. They've wanted this, I think. I mean, the looks on their faces after Sunshine found out she was pregnant..." Blackhaze chuckled as he continued to groom Silverstorm.

Silverstorm looked at blackhaze then at the river trying to hide how she felt. "I agree." She said glancing back at him a couple times. "She seemed delighted when she heard." Silverstorm added smiling, onnly half heartedly this time.

Blackhaze kept grooming her, blood pounding in his hot ears as he finished grooming Silverstorm. "Like you said, it's good to see future warriors brought into the clan." he mewed, feeling the words slip away from his tongue, uttered by a thousand cats before him. He nuzzled Silverstorm gently. There was no harm in asking... "Silverstorm?" he mewed, steeling himself, though he was still hopeful.
