Bird
“Birds have wings; they're free; they can fly where they want when they want. They have the kind of mobility many people envy.”
-Roger Tory Peterson-
-Gypsy-Elyadon-With: Cassia-
Sparrow watched Cassia as she moved out of her armchair and knocked three times in a very particular spot on the wall. Sparrow heard two knocks from the other side of the wall in response, and seconds later a young boy with pale reddish hair and a face spattered with freckles entered the room. He couldn't have been more than ten or twelve years old, by Sparrow's reckoning. Her eyes narrowed as he looked curiously at her with bright blue eyes. Sparrow watched his exchange with Cassia curiously, trying to keep up with the conversation, but giving up shortly thereafter. The boy left the room with a nod, leaving Sparrow and Cassia alone in the room once more. "Cassia, I have a question for you," Bird said, leaning back in her chair. "Well, not so much of a question, but more of a general, er, wondering. I haven't had any reason to keep up with what's been going on in the kingdom. The news you gave me of your charge being killed is the first I've heard of anything for months. What has been going on? Why is what the rebels are doing so bad? If the monarchs are corrupt like the rebels seem to think, then why shouldn't we replace them? It's not that I'm siding with them," she amended quickly, realizing that her previous statement could have been taken the wrong way. "But they did bring up some very good points. I guess my real question would be is what they're trying to do really so bad?"
Ethan
"The love of family and the admiration of friends is much more important than wealth and privilege."
-Charles Kuralt-
-Knight-Avalon-With: Lucifen-
Ethan sighed, tilting his head back as he thought. How long has it been since I left home? he thought. As much as he dwelt on his past, one would think that he would have the answers to such questions memorized, but he hadn't really been counting the years. To him, it seemed like he had only left yesterday. "Well, I came here when I was thirteen, so that makes it...just over six years," he said, raising his eyebrows as if surprised by his own answer. "When I first arrived I was a stick of a boy that no one ever thought would become a full knight, but they squired me to one of the senior knights regardless. I supposed they thought that I would at least be able to help polish the armor. Wow, it's been a long time," he realized.
