The shadowy man looked down as the faint jaw of a skull appeared behind the shadow, then vanished.

I look up at him curiously., raising an eyebrow. I nod understandingly, laying my head back down "You're a sundavar," I mutter, using the draconian word for "shadow."

"If that's what it's called." Alkaid said, replacing his mask over his featureless face.

Gargoyle

I smile at him sympathetically, looking at him with a twinkling golden eye. "I do not know the name for a creature such as you. I simply called you 'shadow' in the dragon tongue," I rumble, kneading my claws into the dirt.

[<Terminal March>]

"I don't know what I am." Alkaid said. "Some think I'm a ghost, others, a demon..."

"Just because you are strange to other does not mean you are evil," I say, laying my head on large paws again.

Alkaid sighed and looked down at his shadowed hands, his white eyes still shining brightly as if they were stars.

I chuckle softly. "You should not be ashamed that you are as you are. If a dragon hatched that had no legs like a snake, then we would let it like and, if it could not fend for itself, it would die. You have proven that the fire in your heart burns strong, so you are no worse than your clanmates," I say, turning my head to look at him.

(Just saying, I'm probably going to switch between two draconic languages. Well, one's actually elvish... Anyway, it's the dragon language from Skyrim and the Ancient Language from Eragon.)

Alkaid nodded and held onto his curved sword. "This was given to me by a dragon.... Fashioned from one of their mighty scales.... The dragon told me to go and kill the king of Marlon, then passed away."

I nod thoughtfully. "Did this dragon tell you his name?" I ask, looking at the sword thoughtfully.
