I found out the other day that it is perfectly legal to eat road kill as long as you didn't kill it but that sounds horrible, you don't know where it's been (not that I eat meat anyway)

Meh, that was a pointless thing to say seeing as this thread is about helping wolves not a thread about eating road kill. Carry on...
welcome to our cave of rock and stone,
this is where we call home,
the mist swirls as night draws in,
together as one, we are kin,

we will not give without a fight,
hide in the shadows, black as night,
every crack, every fold,
we are the tribe of forgotten worlds.

If that isn't art, then I don't know what is.

And people have told you many times it is for a reason to kill wolves, yet you choose not to listen. They are not killed just for their pelt, pelts are a byproduct. Wolves ARE overpopulated, and as humans it is our responsibility to control their population.

And tell someone living in Alaska or Antarctica pelts aren't needed. Tell us what their response is, k?

agh i truly love their stuff
and to think that i almost got the most perfect bobcat from them. but my mother insisted on smoking before ordering it and like that, it was gone within a minute :/

also exactly what Heriotza said

but aside from conibears [fatal traps], footholds are also designed to be humane so that animals can easily be set free from them. they are completely humane and are simply like someone grabbing your wrist.

I would love something from him as well, but at least I have a raccoon from his daughter Kelly :3

And agreed about traps... Sometimes animals legs will even go numb, which means no pain, or the animal even falls asleep. It's not like its cutting their legs off.

And in CA you sadly can't even pick up road kill, which sucks for me as an aspiring taxidermist, lol.

I was talking about fatal traps, not those foot-hold traps, by the way. :p But, I guess what I said also applies to those as well.

Ok, I've been stalking for a while, but I can't stay silent anymore.

There is no reason to gang up on anyone because their opinion differs from yours. I understand that this is a debate thread, but some of you are going passed debating into insults and basically putting your fingers in your ears going "lalala I can't hear you."

Disagreeing with someone and explaining why is different from telling them they're hypocritical. Sometimes you just have to agree to disagree, especially if you're debating with someone much younger than you are.

We as hunters hate being called murderers and other words, but it's perfectly fine for us to call someone a hypocrite because they don't like hunting, and they eat meat? No, the meat market is not a great place, but how many of you can honestly say you knew that when you were 12? 13?

I guess all I'm saying is I'd like to see this club go back to respectful and mature debating before the thread is locked for harassment.

Mods, I hope this post isn't overstepping any boundaries.

i knew about factory farming when i was, eh, 10? 11? i mean i had heard of it at a younger age but hadn't done much research before then.

but, yes, "hunting is horrible but i eat meat" is a bit hypocritical. it's like if someone insults someone, you can't call the person who was insulting them "rude"?

ahh, lucky. her work is just beautiful, too. *__*

but exactly. unfortunately a lot of people don't seem to know the difference between illegal traps and actual ones these days.
but around here it's legal to pick up road kill, luckily. and we get tons of raccoons right in front of our house which isn't too bad for me!

but i kind of do have to say i agree with you here. i probably shouldn't have said anything earlier, very sorry, i myself was being quite the hypocrite.

overall, long as you don't personally attack me for being a hunter/trapper, i'm fine with you disagreeing with hunting. in fact, one of my closest friends is actually an animal rights activists. but it's kind of irritating to constantly be called a 'murderer', 'wrong', or being told to kill myself for simply disagreeing so i kind of get carried away sometimes orz

I kind of agree with you, however.

Eagle's flight wasn't the only one against hunting, looking back on one of my posts:

starfred24 wrote: I'm truly against hunting of any sort, my whole family is, especially me and my dad (we're vegetarians) I almost cried when I saw hunters in the field next to my house and they were just hunting pheasants. I'm not trying to rude but I'm on my own side against hunting.

See? Well, that was some time ago.

Yeah, you don't know ages, I'm just a child. You're probably adults.
