"Were both boys, it's kind of late in life to be worried about cooties," Charlie says, copying Damon.

Damon laughed lightly as he watched Charlie do the same. " mmm yes but however does cooties only apply to girls or does it change as your sexuality does?" He asked.

Charlie shrugs, "Don't know, don't care. Straight guys think girls have cooties until they realize girls are hot. Gay guys just want to be loved and don't think twice adout cooties. Or straight guys have cooties if your gay, not sure how that works. Being gay since elementary school, I've never thought girls to have cooties but have always thought straight guys would beat me up if they found out I was gay."

Damon snorted as a skilled smile came to his lips," yha you got that right I guess...Although I knew from expirence that kids are nasty...needless to say yha people found out about me when i told my "best friend" tht i found guys hot and I was taunted.. Teased everyday...I never got a partner on projects. It was as if I had grown an extra limb or something. Like I was just some kind of freak..." He said shaking his head remembering the pain that came with his childhood.

Charlie rests a hand, not the one he used to eat the chocolate with, on Damon's shoulder. "I went through the same thing, except for a different reason. I almost always had bruises covering my arms and face, had stitches at least once a week, so much that everyone in school was afraid I belonged to a gang or worse. The only friends I had were teachers and I'm sure they only felt inclined to help me because they wanted to know why I looked like I played chicken with a train and lost."

Damon sighed and nodded in an understanding fashion. "It's truly amazing though..how horribly ignorant people can be.." He voiced softly before taking a risk and hugging the boy comfortingly.

Damon had moved slow enough to not alarm Charlie so he didn't react other than hugging him back.

Damon grew a lopsided grin. The boy was warm and soothing to some degree. After a moment he let go and blushed," better?" He asked.
