Silverstorm listened to Blackhaze as he spilled out his story of how he used to act, her blue eyes not looking away from him as he spoke. When he was done Silverstorm paused and looked at her paws. "You know...the thing is..." Silverstorm began to blush as she shifted from paw to paw. "As an apprentice I really admired how you acted. I don't know if you remember this but out of all the apprentices who trained with you and me I was the last to become a warrior! I-I was just not warrior material back then. I remember always looking up to you. In my eyes the way you fought and hunted was flawless and out there you looked so brave..." Silverstorm looked back at Blackhaze and laughed nervously. "Even now I really look up to you."

Blackhaze was silent. He hadn't remembered that Silverstorm had been last, but he hadn't cared much at the time. "I always hunt alone, so no cat sees my mistakes." he said, slightly shamefacedly. "I try to avoid hunting where no cat can see me. I miss prey as much as the next cat, but I pretend I don't miss any prey to look good." If he and Silverstorm were going to be together, he wanted her to know all of his flaws, despite every attempt he had made in the past to look perfect.

Silverstorm looked at Blackhaze wondering why he suddenly seemed to feel so ashamed of himself. "Well that's alright. No cats perfect and I miss when I'm hunting too." Silverstorm mewed. She then paused and couldn't stand seeing blackhaze upset. She licked his cheek and smiled. "I dont mind whatever you did in the past. I love who you are right now and that's all that matters." She said.

Blackhaze licked her cheek gratefully. "Thanks." he mewed, purring softly. He was glad that she didn't mind, because it meant that he could relax a little more. His paws were still slowly churning in the water so he began to vaguely head for shore, getting somewhat tired from swimming so long. He stayed close to Silverstorm, wanting to stay with her if she wanted to keep swimming.

Silverstorm purred softly and smiled. She kept swimming and said nothing as blackhaze moved towards the shore. Even she was getting tired for the long swim. Once they got back to shore silverstorm stepped up onto land but stopped a few steps up and waited for Blackhaze.

Blackhaze slipped up the bank, then turned to face Silverstorm, backing up to make sure she wouldn't get more wet when he shook himself off. He licked his fur a few times and sat down, waiting for Silverstorm contentedly.

Silverstorm walked over and sat down. Her silver fur was abort, which was ideal for swimming, and in the hot sun it already began to dry. Silverstorm smiled put her tail over blackhazes.

Blackhaze purred, licking her cheek and twining his tail with hers, glad that his fur wasn't so long that it took ages to dry. He purred "You look even more beautiful when your fur is shining and wet."
