@ wibeke

I get what you are saying. I don't really agree but I do get it. And I certainly think you are right that people don't really seem to care about them as much in general. I suppose I am the only one that wants them to retain some personality instead of the same as everything else. I am really the only one fighting for them. Alas.. what will be.. Will be.. Ah well...

**I am kind of confused though about you saying the face is different and the hooves are smaller.. They look exactly the same to me except for the mane, tail, and ears.
(they look more like mules to me than donkeys)

I've always been for this change.
But...
The donkeys are something that I want to stay the same,
or at least get their own lineart.
The Donkey Lineart at the moment looks too much like the ponies.
I feel like they should be separate from the 'norm'

Thank you,

~bo.

Actually, the donkey lines have a lot of small edits.
It's easier when changing the opacities yourself to see the differences, but this should give a good enough idea;;

Image

In case it's moving too fast, besides the mane and tail, here are the edits;;
- Rounder Snout
- Back end isn't as 'round'
- Eye muscle Structure
- Smaller, more square hooves
- Also some very miniscule edits in the legs structure, but that's only noticeable if closely inspected. XD
- Fluffier Bellies
- Chest edit
- Thicker neck

I grabbed a pony from the same year for comparison as well, and the changes are the same - though, it might just be an alt. pobnt line that I don't know of.
Also, I think there may just be an overall size edit, as I tried aligning both different ponies to the donkey, and neither were spot-on. Or, completely re-drawn lines would also explain the differences, almost all the lines are slightly different from the original ponies, I believe.

Well.. kind of see it... maybe in the nostril area... Thank you for posting that. It does make it easier to see any tiny differences.

It still does not change my original point.

PurpleBones88 wrote:I have said this before ... I understand the reasons for the change, I really do. I just kind of feel like the donkeys are seen as inferior a little bit. Unicorns are getting their own lineart, as well as PPS horses, and PPS ponies, and even zebras and the rainbow horse. (rainbow something.. I don't have it so I dont pay that much attention)

The old donkeys are just going to be turned into a lineart that was simply a pony lineart edited to look like a donkey for Christmas one year. I don't have a problem with Yulynh's art at all; don't get me wrong. I just think the donkeys are getting shafted a bit. The lineart is very pony-like and the heads wont even be facing forward anymore. They will look like long eared ponies basically. And those of us that love them are so few (it seems) ... and there are only five donkeys... so we have very little say in it. ..

I know.. I know.. uniformity....all the same.. blah blah blah. I will force a smile through this... but uniformity is not why I over paid for them. They are different and should remain so...

Now I know this is on the negative side so I may get blasted for saying this. All is ask is that you be nice in your response or don't respond at all. I would really prefer a CS mod or artist respond and just let me know you have heard us..... even if nothing will change... just some acknowlegement, ya know..

Please understand that though I am fighting for new lines, I am not taking it super duper serious. I know they are just pixels. I just will have to change the group from being called donkeys.. to "my lil mules." haha I will miss these lil guys..

Allysun, your right! I noticed that before I got to the differences. Really just look at one particular part and as it switches from pony to horse, you can see MANY differences, if you have eyes that see perfectly. Not my kind of eye, I'm blind, but not exactly because I can fix it with glasses<<< That got off topic. I'm okay with the change, but at the same time, I'm not. My agreeing is that I really like Yul.'s design, I appreciate that they are making new lines for special equamagine designs. And the unicorns.
I don't agree 'cause Equamagine designs are more unique, and show more emotion in her ponies. Also guys, The Zebras will look good!
Quick question! I used to have 2 uncommons and 1 rare. Well the rarities changed. Uncommons went to a rare and the rare went to a very rare. Is that on purpose?

If it weren't that serious to you, I doubt you would have brought it up again, lol. XD
I understand well enough, though~

Anyways, I figure the fact that they aren't just being stuck on ponies and trying to find the appropriate lines/maybe doing new lines is acknowledgement? Even on the edited lineart, it still has a lot of minor differences, if you take the time to look~ =) So at least they're not just being slapped on ponies and having it called a day, lol.
Though, I would love it if they got unique lines~
I believe the reason the zebras are specifically is because they never had edited pony versions, and most of them are just significantly more rare as opposed to the donkeys~

@hailey9;;
The rarities are updated every month, so that's why those changed. Every month some pets just get rarer (or less rare sometimes even), so they update them monthly to be more accurate~ It's not because the designs are changing, though. =)
