"It was my pleasure, and truthfully, taking her back by force never crossed my mind. I want her to be happy. Thats all I have ever wished, and as for killing you, you have not threatened the village, so I have no need to hurt you." Looking at the wolves, he watched with fascination as they came forward and then disappeared. Listening to her new words, Slater fell silent and looked at his hands. Thinking it over, he bit his lip before looking up at her. "I would love that." He whispered

Fire listened to Slater's words, burgundy tipped ears drooping to the sides as he sat down. We would never want any quarrels with your village. While my sister and I hold a small grudge against the humans in general, you humans in particular have never done us, or our pack, any harm. he told Slater using telepathy. With that statement, he stood once more, dipped his head in a respectful manner, and then padded off toward the exit of the glen, his sister following close behind him.
Dumah had smiled at Slater's words. She was glad that he was actually speaking to them, instead of to her as though they couldn't hear him. It was almost as good as him actually accepting the wolves as actual living beings instead of monsters that lived in the woods and that stole their children and killed their men -- it wasn't the case. Wolves were caring creatures, which was only proved by their ability to raise the human children as their own. Silence smiled again at Slater's answer. " You'll stay, then? I will make an outfit, and I could show you some good places for dens -- and proper stealth, too. " Silence's eyes practically lit up -- she would enjoy teaching Slater these things, if he agreed to stay, of course. " And our lullaby. You must learn the lullaby. " she sighed happily, and then, remembering the gifts that she had brought, she turned and disappeared into the shadows, gathering the deerskin sack -- which held the fish that James had brought -- and a few deer pelts and came back out, a light blush covering her cheeks, seeming embarrassed. " These are gifts for all of you... not much, but it was the best we could do in the time we had. " she said, offering the gifts to her human mother.

Watching the blind wolf get up, he dipped his head in a small bow, even though he knew he would not be able to see him, he thought it polite. But upon hearing Duah's words, Slater could barely contain his joy. To be able to learn alongside Dumah was more then he ever dreamed of, or even deserved. "I would love that, very much so Dumah." He replied with a smile. Frowning a bit he glanced at Pyro. He knew he wasnt going to be happy. Walking over to him he pulled him in a hug. "Take good care of Aunt.She will need you, after all, you are the head of the house. I will take care of Dumah, and stop by when I can. Also, would you mind taking care of my stallion? I will miss him, just like you all" Pulling away from him, he smiled at him briefly.

Pyro was surprised when Slater had said yes -- to stay and live among the wolves and to learn their ways. As much as he would like to as well, ever since his father died, his mother needed all the support she could get. The hunter returned his cousin's hug, " I have a feeling she'll be the one taking care of you, " he joked when they stepped away from each other, smiling. " But I will... You should come back to town with us -- Dumah could come back, too, and then you both could return to the forest, so that we wouldn't have any issues with having to carry things or bring your horse home alone. "

Silence smiled at Slater's answer, and paused, her smile faltering slightly, at Pyro's suggestion. " .. I do not want the people thinking that something happened... " she said slowly, and then added on, " when it did not... They would declare war -- and even all three packs, if they were to combine... " she shivered at the thought. " We are too small in numbers. " she told them, shaking her head. The Taken Child looked toward Slater, furrowing her brows slightly.

Storm paces the length of the den, the Alpha's den, His den. Under his smooth, glossy pelt he shivers, Tempest would be furious...at him, at James, at the other Wolves...at Shadow...especially His though. Why had he agreed? But the conditions...he had set conditions. The male Knows she will set some of her own, something silly...like a lizzard each morning...or a vole Exactly at noon each day. Awake her with flowers and Food... a slight smile plays on his lips.

Tempest lays in the sunshine. She knows something is Different, Wrong. And a Human Hunter in the forest, it would want to stay. They always Do. Would Shadow say yes? It was his Lands. And James' heart was in his eyes, her brother walked with shame on his form. What was happening...everything was falling apart..

James sighs into his reflection, he was above the water on an overhanging fruit-tree branch, a peach in his hand. She hadnt even liked to Know another Child had been Taken...or rather chose to come. He had wanted a companion...but she had rathered wolves...which were Ok, but you cant find one to Fall for. The boy sighs again to himself, and presses his cheek on the rough bark.

Seiges' Remorse smiles to herself as she flies above the glen. She couldnt hear anything, didnt care to ask the Earth. But is simply enjoying herself in the flight. She admires the Omega male from the distance...wonders what he thought of her, and her new pack, and then turns and flies away.

Dusk padded lightly at Fire's side, thinking darkly about Dumah's human family. " Dusk, calm yourself. " Fire said soothingly, nudging her shoulder lightly as they followed the familiar path back to the North Lake. When they stepped into the clearing, the black and red wolf broke away from his sister's side, padding toward the water. He walked along the edge of the water for a bit, before he padded into the lush grass a little bit away from it, and lay down, resting his head on his paws. " Sister, you should hunt. It will take your mind off things. " he advised her. Dusk hardly ever refused a hunt, and when she started to protest, she sighed, muttered something, and then said, " Fine.. I'll be back soon. " she told her brother, turned, and bolted into the forest, leaving her brother in the clearing to relax.

Seiges' Remorse sees a male-wolf lieing in the grass, recognizes him as the other packs Omega...and smiles. He was cute...maybe he was bored and wanted to talk? She glides down a ways from him in a patch of mint and rolls to hide her scent. Humming she gains her paws and pads toward where she had seen him in the sand, knowing she is unregognizeable and hoping he'll be curious...

(Could they have a secret relationship for a while...?)

"I have to say the same." He said softly as he stood by Dumah. "It would cause problems Pyro, problems we could not fix. In fact, I think I will take my horse with me, If thats okay with you Dumah" He said as he glanced towards her. "The villagers do not know what we are up to, and you can tell them that I went on a long trip, And that I wont be back for awhile. So that explains why my horse is gone, and why you guys came along. Tell them it was to see my off. But thats only if you all think it is a good idea." He mummered falling silent he looked at his aunt who still hadnt spoken much.

Pyro tried not to show his disappointment, even if it was slight. He smiled faintly at his sister and his cousin, nodding slightly. " I see... Well.. in that case, I bid you both farewell, and I hope to see you again very soon. " he gave the two the sincerest smile he could muster, stepped forward and embraced his younger sister lightly. When he stepped back again, his gaze shifted to his mother, who smiled at both Slater and Dumah, " Goodbye, Dumah. Be careful, would you, Slater? For me. " she stepped toward him and offered a hug, her soft gray eyes warm.

Silence had been a little surprised by the hug from Pyro, and had stiffened in the embrace for the first moment, before she lightly returned it, patting his shoulder just as he'd withdrawn. Her gaze shifted to Slater, and she tried to think of where the horse could stay. " It can stay... " she told him, sounding thoughtful, and then dropped her gaze to the ground as her hand slid to the belt that held her blades, and she idly fiddled with the hilt of one.

Flame's Mourning

Fire's ear flickers to the sound of rustling in the brush a little ways behind him, but he doesn't lift his head. However, when he heard someone's paws on the grass near himself, his head snapped up and his blind gaze was directed in their general direction, the bright orange color of his irises standing out starkly against his darker fur. " Who's there? " he demanded, shifting to his feet, his ears pinned back against his head.

"Hello," murmmers the lovely slate-and-silver she-wolf with a warm smile. "I'm Byrd.Well at least my friends call me that." she pads ever closer but far enough away to not get hurt without the use of gifts. "My real name is Remorse." Seige's Remorse has her ears perked, listening, with the appearance of innocence and of course as if she couldnt defend herself well. Like she was weak. For a moment the she-wolf curses the injury to her shoulder that still weeps blood-given as she had fleed a pack who disdained her gifts. "Whats your name?"

Storm calls softly to his sister's mind. *Tempest. Tempest? Where are you? I need to talk to you.* his mental voice is strong although he feels anything but. Weak infact from a fear of his sister's reaction. To the order, he wouldnt tell. That was Shadow's business, he would pretend to know nothing. *Shadow, dont mention me. Make her fall for a stranger.Pretend we didnt...agree.* he says to the Alpha.

Tempest lifts her head, listening. *I come.* she tells the male alertly. She had been day-dreaming of romance, of being swept off of her paws by a handsome stranger.
