How long have you had your fursona for? When did you first create them? Did you go through a bunch of different designs for them before they became what they are today?

My first fursona ever was created when I was about eleven but even before then had feral creatures in my head that I thought of myself as and even drew a few, it wasn't until Roza, the first design, that I put the word "fursona" to it. I've had a fursona for five years, and my current one for about six months. I went through seven designs and eeek I know that's a lot, but I only count three because they lasted longer than a month. Six out of the seven revamps have been canine, the other being a dragon/wolf that was very fun the experiment with, though he didn't last long at all. I find myself sticking around collies and shepherds in terms of the breed, and recently the designs have been fairly similar. My current Fursona, Keeler, feels like a good fit, and I can't see myself changing him anytime soon. I've also gone through quite a few name changes, and took a while until I came back to the one I felt most comfortable with.

i created my first actual 'fursona' in about late 2009 early 2010-ish? her name was singapura and she was a puma/otter mix. she had wraps on her forearms and back legs and tail, and had lots of feathers. after that was iliove, a fennec fox. she was peach and salmon and delicate and rosy. a few months later and i had celluna, a newfoundland grey and cream dog that lasted me for nearly a year. and then came the phase of hooved sonas. i looked into klipspringers, deer, and dog/deer mixes. i was constantly changing during this time period, and mainly was mega inspired by deviantart artists and their designs. finally, i saw the light of 'dogs'. i switched completely back into doge gear and began naming my designs after myself (olivia). they were all smooth collies, with brown and cream as a base color. i refined the design after a few months of messing around. doge olivia lasted nearly an entire year, but a month ago i decided she needed a bold and drastic change. i could barely draw her because she was so complex (well, not entirely) but i wanted something i could draw whenever i wanted. so came the sketches of bird. i wanted her to be powerful and graceful and a little broken too. most of all i wanted her to be incredibly simple ! the white base and red tuft wasn't enough. i arched her back and made her design 100% flexible. i can draw her however i wanted.

so there goes my entire story of fursonas. a bit of a mountain of text lmao ;;
