But I need help, what episodes should I show her?
I was thinking about The Girl In The Fireplace and/or an Elevenen episode.
Tips?

What kind of episode does she want? Does she want scary, funny, sad or a mix of them all?

I've started everyone off with watching the Christmas Invasion and Blink. Everyone is hooked after that.

I started my mum with series one episode one (Rose) and she went onwards, and she often will watch an episode if I'm watching it on the TV. She likes tennant most but when she was younger she watched it so maybe that's why she watches it now.

My favorite episode is: Hmm...That's a tough decision. I'd say either The Stolen Earth/Journey's End, Human Nature/The Family of Blood, Blink, or The Christmas Invasion.
I have watched up to: Series 5, Episode 5. Will probably change within the next few hours. xD
And finally, I am from the USA.

I agree with Oswin., the episodes are less and less scary...come on! where's the companion in actual danger not just going to be saved immediately kind!

Start your mom with Partners in Crime. Loved that one. For a scary one go with Waters of Mars.

I admit that I did not like this new episode one bit. My rant can be found in the small text.
So I really liked all of the previous seasons with Matt Smith, and I even liked part 1 of season seven (Dinosaurs on a Spaceship being my favorite episode). But this episode, it was awful in comparison. Like Oswin mentioned, the plot was never properly developed and nothing new was shown. More so than anything else though, it was much too "perfect". Everything went according to the Doctor's plan and it felt like a lame movie where there's a cool guy who knows how to do anything and everything and does it with "style". Things felt slapped together, and cliche. I personally dislike Clara as well, for the same reasons - she's too "perfect". She can't die (in a way). She's witty. She's a "genius' in her own right. But does she have any flaws? Not that I have noticed yet. None at all, and that's plain boring. The Doctor didn't have any issues this episode either. No emotional conflicts, with the exception of being "protective" of Clara. Moffat really has to step up his game, if he wants to fill Davies' shoes because I'm not impressed.

Forgot to say, it has to be season 6 or 7. The first seasons are on Netflix, but hot the last two for my birthday on CD's... For my dad I showed him Eleventh Hour and the christmas special for season 5. I might show her the christmas special...
