Gabriel shut the door with his heel, trying to look casual. "So, you said you were hungry?" He decided to give his attention to the newcomer.

"Yeah, a little. Don't worry, I can eat later. So, wheres everyone else?" she smiled, trying to lighten the atmosphere. She could tell now by Kinra's frown that she wasn't as welcome as she thought.

Gabriel leaned up against the kitchen counter, watching the two of them with his intense blue gaze. "I'm not sure where Taboo and the others are right now.. Maybe you know, Kinra?"

Jade heard a door opening somewhere. Looking expectantly at the door, she felt her stomach turning over. She hadn't eaten for 11 days, and she felt sick with hunger- and nerves.

(Whoops! Sorry, I poofed to quiz my family on Tolkien trivia - most of which I don't know but wish I did.)

Carian walked through the door from outside, her hair ruffled and messy. She had been riding with Vaudreuil again. Walking past the front hallway, she almost missed the sight of a new girl in the doorway. Stopping, she looked in.
"Someone new?" She said, her silver hair falling a bit, wispy and strange.
