LavenderCloud padded out of the nursery and yawned. Shaking her ruffled fur she grabbed a mouse and a thrush. She came back to the kits mewing about who was the best warrior. As she dropped the mouse for them they immediately shut up. As they padded toward it SpeckleKit mewed " Can we eat it? " her eyes were round with excitement.

Specklekit bit into it first. She ate the warm mouse and purred " This is delicious. " HazeKit was quiet he was enjoying the mouse savoring the taste. " I bet I can get a billion mice in a day. " he boasted. " Yeah right. As if, you can catch an old vole. " SpeckleKit taunted. HazeKit pounced on her making her squeal.
