" My first time out of the nursery! Wow! " He mewed. " C'mon SpeckleKit! " SpeckleKit came out mewed softly " Is LavenderCloud letting us out? ". " Of course! She would rip our ears off if we didn't ask her. " He retorted. He and SpeckleKit started padding around camp. SpeckleKit got scared by everything. HazeKit's pelt burned with embarassment. " Don't be so scared. If there was anything scary I would protect. " he mewed. He padded toward the fresh-kill pile and threw a mouse at SpeckleKit. " Hey! Why would you do that? " she growled. " To lighten your spirit. " he mewed. She growled and threw back at him. After that she hid under a leaf. " I will get you! " he yowled.
