Kikipanda wrote:Well I usually play as Pyro, Medic, Sniper or Engineer (I like to help & assist players xD), although I hear that Soldier is the easiest to start with. I've played as all the classes so I know what they can do ect. (I'm AWFUL at Spy. xD)
I suppose I'll mute the mics then. C:
Hmm. I'll try to give some advice, excuse me for rambling!
For Pyro, become best friends with your airblast. When you see a spy about to stab a teammate, don't set him on fire, use your airblast instead. It'll prevent him from backstabbing your teammate. When you'd only set him ablaze, he can still stab. But when you blast him away and then go after him to finish him, he's as good as dead. In fact, train your airblast skills. You can reflect rockets, grenades, sticky bombs, huntsman arrows, and jarate back at your opponent. Also, be sure to try out weapon combinations. If you only use your flamethrower, you'll end up a bad pyro. Never forget how useful your shotgun/flare gun is to finish off an opponent that's out of range of your fire.
Being a Medic is all about getting to know your team and learning about timing. It's also about finding a playstyle and loadout that suits you. If you're more aggressive with your syringe gun, then I recommend the Blutsauger to get away from people when backpedaling. But the normal syringe gun allows you to have a higher passive healing rate if you tend to stick more to healing rather than hurting. The Ubersaw is incredibly useful when you can sneak up on an unsuspecting enemy and take him out, but the bonesaw has a faster swing rate, which is pretty useful. High critical hit rate too. As for the mediguns. I personally never stray from my standard medigun and the Kritzkrieg. The normal one is useful for most things, especially attack modes on control point maps. The Kritzkrieg is especially useful on defense mode when playing on CP maps. Also, if you have another medic in your team, it's useful to take a different medigun from his. Having Ubers AND crits on your team is a deadly combination. Oh, and stay in touch with your team, ask for pyros to spycheck often and always look behind you every few seconds so spies can't stab you. Be sure to overheal everyone before the match starts and try to heal everyone. It's good to have a pocket Heavy or pocket Soldier, but don't neglect your team in favour of getting points and assist kills.
I'm not a good Sniper so I can't help you with that. But if you ever use the huntsman, prepare to laugh at people being butthurt over it. That's always the case. People can't take an arrow to the face very well. :D
When you're an Engineer, make friends with a Pyro. An EngineerPyro team is as powerful as a HeavyMedic team as the Pyro reflects projectiles and you murder the other team. Get to know your maps to find strategic spots, and keep an eye on other Engies and where they build their sentries, they might've found a good spot that you can use next time. To avoid getting picked off by an ubered demoman, don't build your sentry next to another Engineer's sentry. Sentry nests are powerful but easy to destroy when the other team has a decent medic. You can always help out other engies by helping them build their sentry. They'll most likely repay you the favour. If you find bottleneck points, build your sentry there to block the other team completely. And make sure you don't build your sentry out in the open or in a long alleyway because demomen and soldiers will have you for breakfast. At the start of a match, place a teleporter outside the gate, go back to pick up metal and then follow your team. Getting a teleporter up fast is always useful to the team. Again, if you have the time, build your dispenser before you build your sentry. It'll be slower at first, but the constant stream of metal will allow you to upgrade your sentry much faster. When your team advances, take your sentry and dispenser with you so your team won't have to run to find supplies. Oh, and if you get to place your sentry in the other team's base, use crouch jump to get on your sentry and dance on it to mock them. :D
But here's a video for you all. It's pretty old, but I've always loved it. Lovely art style too.
