You know what I think is funny?

Before the change, nobody wanted horses/ponies, they were just collecting dust in groups, had no value/demand and thus were worth nearly nothing. They got nearly no love.

And all of a sudden everybody love the old lines? >_>; Yeeeeah right.

I totally agree :s I'm honestly not a fan of the new lineart, but it doesn't matter.. .w.

i totally agree with this xD
just pipe the flip down people, in my opinion, be petty and leave the site over a lineart change or stay and be polite.
People can have opinions all they want but that all changes when they say stupid rude or offensive things
No matter who you are,
what you look like, or where you're from...
You deserve love & acceptance
just like anyone else!

Yep. But I guess sometimes people need to be threatened with loosing something to realize their true value, which is sadly too late in this case.

I mean, the old lines were nice, and I did have quite a bit of nostalgia for them. But I much prefer the new lines and the designs on those said lines, and have welcomed the change from the beginning. It's such a good change for the site itself most importantly. It just shows what a stand the site is willing to take against theft.

Might be, but if I look at some posts in all those threads it sounds like they just joined CS for the horses. The love them, adore them and they're their favorites. Above all. Their dreamies, their everything, their life.

Which is a bit ... well. *cough* |D yknowwhatImean.

Honestly, I understand if someone doesn't like the changes. It's a matter of taste after all and I myself don't really like the new drafts. But many posts here just bring a smile to my face, because I honestly ask myself "Where were you all the time when they were released them back then?" =P

I always read the monthly discussion threads since I joined CS, so I know how people usually reacted to them.

Preeeeetty much. Before the change, I could count the amount of Equi lineart hoarders I can name right now on just one hand. The amount of melodrama is astounding, I mean some people are acting like these horse lines are the reason they breathe every day.

I'm more disappointed in seeing people who would flip out if someone copied their fursona's colors yet are asking why tracing on a site that does earn money indirectly from the material is such a big deal.

Agree wit you, it was really hard back there to trade the equines.

I remember in 2009 when I got extra green halloween zombie ponies, I tried to trade them many times even if they have the "very rare" rarity people got angry at my offers (even if the trade was for newer pets) , I even tried to offer them in auctions who other people had, and they got pissed by the fact I was offering a "worthless pony for a dog or a butterfly wolf"

So to this day I even still have the zombie ponies.
