Hmm...promote them. Definitely try to promote them. Lik maybe ask to become an affiliate with a more popular species? They'll advertise you, and you'll advertise them, naking the species more popular (since it's popular with a popular species). Did that make any sense? XD

Wow, sounds like a great idea, thank you! If I did become an affiliate with any of the other popular adopts, I would select FALs. They're possibley the most awesome big-cat adoptables going (stamp link in my siggy if you want to check them out).
