Crowpelt woke from a terrifying dream and staggered into the nursery. He looked around and saw Silverstripe laying with their kits.

Crowpelt looked at her. "I can't, he's with Bloomfur." He lay down at the entrance of the nursery and tucked his head into his pelt, paws tucked underneath his belly. He closed his eyes and wondered what he had done..
