(@GrayStar51, I believe we'd mentioned it, but in case you missed it -the Passage only started a very short while ago, and the companions haven't appeared quite yet. So, you might want to edit your post a little bit. c: It's excellent, but that bit doesn't exactly add up.
@Speak, Aha, yep! And, thank you! c: )

The grey-eyed girl (he really had to figure out her name; that just wouldn't do) took a small half-step away from him, eyes wide as she tried to process the babble spewing from his mouth. Ari felt a blush rising to colour his cheeks again, and his gaze moved once more to the tops of his snow-flecked boots.
As she responded, Ari chanced another quick glance upward, happy to see that her posture had straightened again, the nervousness he had thrust upon her seemingly evaporated. The knot in his stomach loosened fractionally. A suggestion of a smile was painted on her features, and he returned it, though it slipped away almost immediately after she had finished what she was saying. Stop for the day? He worried his bottom lip again, beginning to feel a hint of pain from the chafing of the sensitive flesh. They hadn't even started, really -how could they stop? They'd never make it to the Winter Home at this rate...
Ari's gaze moved to rest on Nathan; he was looking stronger, but the vibrant red blood still smeared on his face indicated he was anything but. To stay would be safer -Ari didn't want to endanger the injured boy further. He needed rest, needed to heal. It was early yet -they could spare the time, right?
"I -I don't know," he answered hesitantly, each word slipping with great reluctance from his lips. He glanced over at the rest of the group behind them quickly before settling back on the grey-eyed girl. "I think we should... but I don't know about the others. What'syourname?" The last bit was spoken so quickly, words all rushed over one another and mushed together, forming one long, unintelligible word, stark in contrast with his earlier utterances. Ari's eyes dropped back to his boots.
