However, what is not subjective about the old lineart is that it WAS stolen.

Then don't say that their reasoning for quitting is not a reason. There's no right or wrong reaction to the transformation project.

What is wrong is over-reacting to the change and wanting the stolen line-art to stay. What is right is accepting that it's being done after debating on it behind the curtains. I understand your sorrow, anger or w/e about it, but answer yourself this question. If you owned the site and had to make a quick decision about correcting the wrong, would you go ahead and do it or allow it to remain and suffer the consequences?
The vast majority of those who are upset UNDERSTAND why it is being done and ACCEPT that... we just wish that instead of the old designs going into the current lines they could have gone into an edited version of the common line with even a small line edit (raised tail for example) so that they could have kept a small bit of the unique feel they had.

Pretty much. Though the new lines "may" have been worse.

There would still be the issue of the copyright infringement, thus could not be done.

Er, I'm not overly against the Equine Transformation project, I have some problems with it, but I acknowledge that it had to be done. There's no questioning that. The most upset over it I am is that some of the revamped pets have designs that don't match how they originally looked.

Copywrite infringement on changing their own lines??? If that were true then they could not have turned the pony lines into the goats, donkey, etc...

How can a line edit on the current lines (current, as in the ones being used for current horses) be copywrite infringement???

Can we all STOP ARGUING, please? I'm getting a headache with everyone trying to get their points across. That's why I tried to stop posting for a bit and let you guys handle the situation, but my luck is like, "NOPE, you shall suffer today!" >.>

I believe she means a raised tail on the NEW lines but even if she doesn't, a certain amount of changes could make the copyright void.
However, I was suggesting an entirely new line-art (perhaps BASED off the old design but still considerably different) so that the old horses would still have their own unique look.
Also, I DO understand why it's being done and I'm not demanding they remain the same. Please read all of the comments before making snide remarks.

WE GET IT ALREADY.

Now STOP with the petty arguing! You ALL are making snide remarks at each other, Devil, so don't go blaming others when YOU are doing it too! That's the main reason why I tried to stay out of it and let you guys deal with it yourselves, but apparently the arguement is going crazy....AGAIN.

Calm yourselves, I understand that everyone has different opinions, but we don't need to start WWIII over horse linearts.
