Hold on! I read the questions and answers and I didn't see an answer to this. The unicorns are getting changed too!? As in they're getting shifted to pony lines with a horn added!? Plus I think this whole change is AWEFUL! Not only are we disrespecting the artist but we're also taking a way a HUGE part of CS history. I also dislike the new pony lines and prefer the old ones by a mile.

Unicorns are getting an ENTIRELY NEW lineart. The changes are being made due to Legal issues. The Linearts were heavily referenced and or traced by photographs, therefore they have to change, or else CS could possibly get in huge trouble due to copyright, and all that jazz. The old linearts were breaking CS rules, therefor the change is a must. Equi already knows this, we are not disrespecting her in any way.

Woah!? Seriously! I thought they looked familiar from somewhere... Explains why I liked them instantly, too.

Though the unicorns are unique, I mean compared to the others.. Do the artists plan to make them similar to every other pony and horse?

I think there should be different donkey lineart. There were different linearts for them before, so I don't think we should use the pony linearts. That really loses the donkeys' charm, even if they weren't my favorites. New linearts are always interesting. The unicorns are getting an entirely new lineart, which I'm fine with, so why aren't the donkeys?

No. Just like the zebras, the unicorns will be getting a new separate lineart completely to themselves.

What Kase said, the unicorns have their own, unique lineart. c:

Very depressed and disappointed about this. I wasn't aware of the poll.
I believe the old line-art is what made those pets special and unique and showed their antiquity.
I feel like this is taking antique jewelry and melting it down to blend in with today's modern jewelry so it won't stand out and be special anymore.
Chicken Smoothie history all down the drain...
I also believe this is a HUGE disrespect to the original artists.
If there is nothing special about collecting old, antique, retired forms of pets then I may just quit Chicken Smoothie.
I love collecting all the different versions and the fact that they will now all be the same just ruins the entire point of the website.
Yeah, they have different coat patterns but so what?
The changing line-art over time is the only reason I have continued to use Chicken Smoothie when I quit all other adoption sites.
Looks like I'll now be quitting Chicken Smoothie, too.
There is nothing exciting or fun about conformity.
What a massive disappointment.

- edit -

At the very least, you could make NEW line-art for the old pets instead of just conforming them to the new line-art.
Let them keep their uniqueness! If you're going to have to take the time to re-do them then at least give them their own unique line-art so they will still be different.

There's no reason to quit CS over changes to ONE species. There are still plenty of other retired linearts out there, like the Malk Dogs, Dragons, older cat Linearts [including "Warrior Cats"], and Tess' Linearts. Don't forget the fish, too!

The change is due to legal issues, they'd have to change the lines no matter what. The Unicorns and Zebras are getting their own, unique lines as well, and those are still very rare here on CS.

People...like it or not, this HAD to be done or CS would suffer some serious consequences. I doubt that you'd like to find out that Tess got a notice about a lawsuit or something for keeping art theft. This topic has been gone over and over. I know you're upset, I know you liked the line-art before, but we cannot allow it to be housed on CS any longer. My favorites are the PPS foals, so I am wondering as well just how they'll look with their new line-art that's to be done later. Delete the pets, quit CS, foam, fuss and complain; the choice had to be made and executed. I'd rather know that I was trading with the new line-art pets than with those that had stolen ones.

My main problem with the transformation project is that we barely have any say on the new pony's designs. Besides the zombie ponies and how they changed the smiles, even if the designs of the transformed pets are completely different from how they originally looked, you just have to deal with what it looks like now.
