What Are Tanukes?
Tankues are said to be spirit animals; fake and spiritual. But Tankues are quite alive and quite real. While many stay hidden from the human eye, others may stray to humans for companionship. Tanukes are large dog sized animals, with a long, beautiful mane around the neck, slender and quick bodies, elegant tails; and horns. The most noticeable of this species may be their extremely large fangs, which hang over the jaw when closed. Or perhaps it's even that dragging, heavy tail. Tanukes can be very clever, sneaky creatures; as well as intelligent and quick learning. They're fast, swift; and their special feature - Hands! Tanukes love climbing, and can easily use things with their hands.
What Do Their Orbs Mean?
Tanukes orbs, floating around the waist like a belt, represents life. Lives of their generations past, and generations to come. Orbs can come in any color. Orbs only appear when Tanukes are among their own kind (Trying to find a mate/trying to find cubs/etc), or when two males are fighting over a female. Tankues's orbs do not glow when they are hunting or around humans(Unless they have a special human companion, then they may show off their orbs.)
Some Must Know Facts
*Tanukes are about 2-3 feet at the shoulder.
*Tanukes weigh around 80-100lbs
*The difference between male and female are the eye colors. Males tend to have eye colors of Yellow, Orange, Green; while females have colors in Blue, Silver, and Brown.
*Average lifespan 30-40 years (1-9: Childhood, 10-15: Young Adult, 16-20: Adult, 21-30/40: Elder)
*They feed on other animals (Carnivores)
*Tanukes come in natural and neutral colors(Unsaturated and Saturated(To some extent). No neon coloring is to be found anywhere on the body; only on the horns. Tanukes can have any markings found on big cats. Striping, spotting, and just regular solid markings will do. White markings are also excepted( Minimal, Tuxedo, Irish Collar, Piebald, Vans.).
