I'm still not a fan of the new draft lineart, but it seems to give these horses a much better trade value, so here's hoping those horses get moving in circulation again.

I don't really like how the jelly and pool ponies are shiny now. Is there a spotlight in CS somewhere that I'm unaware of? It seems to not be consistent with the original art because it makes the jelly look like plastic or colored metal, not food.
I love how the new naturals, dice, zombie and weather ponies turned out though. I just wish they were more true to the original design.

I seen to recall we would be getting the same coloration, just on a different lineart with the ETP. Clearly that's not the case.

Why change the hoof and face color? The mane and tail are also a totally different color.

I didn't mean that to be mean, I think all the artist on here are fabulous. I'm just sad about the change :C

It's ok to be sad about the change, but it's not ok to say things that are disrespectful and hurtful. There are others who are upset about the change too, but they're finding ways to express their feelings in ways that won't hurt other people's feelings.

Just think: if it was your art, and you'd been working so hard trying to come up with a new lineart, and you came onto the forums and found that someone had called your hours and hours of hard work 'ugly', how would you feel? I'm betting not very good. :C

So yeah. It's ok to not like the change, just try not to say hurtful things to others.

Hmm... I'm in two minds about this change.
On one hand, it was the best thing to do and I'm really excited about seeing how the new/old pets turn out.
On the other, I'm one of those people who just like things to stay the same. I don't really like change all that much. It's petty, I know, but it's true.

No, I don't. I seem to remember a certain someone (and several other people that were wondering what the big deal with the 'no's were) stating that we'd have the same colors, just on different lines if the ETP went through. Reassuring the people against the ETP that the designs would not change.

The example page that was given at voting time looks that way to me too: All the pets pictured look as close to exact coloration to me. Their hooves and manes weren't changed at all. Great! ETP looks good then!

Everything after that is not really that close to the original design. While I was in favor of the ETP, this just leaves a sour taste in my mouth that screams 'false advertising'.

Indeed. It looks much better now, because there's much more detail and the colors are blended nicely. I still like the old version, but the new one is quite nice.

False advertising? Now I think you're taking this a bit too seriously. Everyone knew that the designs were going to be revamped, which means changed. Unless Equi came back to switch the designs to the new lines, there was bound to be differences. No true artist is completely okay with copying another's design exactly without, in this case, improving on it.

But believe what you like I suppose, it is your opinion after all. c:
