Equine Transformation - Going ahead - please read for info!

I noticed that a lot of people are complaining that they didn't see the voting thread because they click on "View bookmarks" instead of going to the forum. I would like to make a suggestion that might help in the future.

Instead of clicking "View bookmarks" on the right of the screen click on "My account" on the left. It shows you the announcements and you have access to your bookmarks. Although it does take one extra click to get to your bookmarks it allows you to see what's going on with the site without having to go to the forum.



I had voted "no" on the poll although I was sort of on the fence about it the whole time. I do like the way the changes are coming so far though. There are a few outcomes that I'm not exactly thrilled about but there haven't been any that really bother me. All the ones that I'm unsure of have more that I like about them than what I dislike, so my feelings balance themselves out on most of them. Overall I don't mind the change much.

I wish the people who keep wanting some sort of line art edit on these ponies/horses would realize that it puts people right back in the same boat about items not being able to fit all horses/ponies. I LOVE dressing my pets (especially gift pets) and it sucks that I have to jury rig together outfits for the older horses and ponies because hardly anything fits them. If the changed Equimagine pets have a tilted head, or shifted leg, or whatever else people keep asking for then, once again, items will not fit them properly, something I really am tired of dealing with.

You all claim that now all the horses and ponies are the same and that those species no longer have any unique line edits but you seem to forget that there are still draft horses, Malk drafts, and that there will soon be new unicorn lines as well as other line edits that have been made in the past for horses and ponies.

I think we should be really appreciative that the staff has taken the time, and hard work (because art doesn't create it self and even though they are transferring a design they are still REDRAWING the design and working hard to make it as accurate as possible.), for free (lets face it, these folks don't get paid for this!), to let us keep these amazing designs rather than just deleting the pets all together.

The original lines could not be kept, many were STOLEN by being TRACED from photographs, this is illegal, not just a CS rule, threatening to quit CS over line art changes is absolutely silly. Lets try to be mature about this.

I'll be sad to see them go, but I really do hope the donkeys stay, they will lose their appeal to me once changed if not done right, as the more donkey line art , I did not like so much.
Either way, I'm happy that we're fixing the problem! ^^

Donkeys are changing to the ponyish Yul lineart. I cant post a pic right now but you can see it on the first post of this thread. I would be 100% all for a different lineart than that but we will see.

I suggested the Pps lineart but was shot down pretty quick. It seemed like a compromise because the staff would not have extra work.

Gonna be sad to see them go, i do rather love some of the old horses... But new draft horses are magnificent so imma try to be positive for this~

Since the original photograph that was traced is known, why can't you just ask the photographer for permission? And then if they say no, go ahead with the change. Personally I love the old donkeys and horses, and am not a fan of the newer lines. This makes me sad.

I believe that those who are mourning the loss of the unique positions and lineart do respect that they had to be removed... fully understand and accept that. A simple small change to line art could have salved a lot of feelings... being told when the poll was put up in the beginning that they HAD to change and not just if we wanted them to and explaining why would have given those who voted a better understanding of what was going on and I believe more would have voted for at least a few unique line art alterations.

I, for one, do appreciate the hard work the artists are doing and that they are trying to make the change as fast as possible... but that does not change the fact that what was once 3 different horse designs will just be one... two different pony designs will just be one... it is not that the new current lines are not beautiful but that the diversity will be gone that is troubling many. You might not see it that way... but those of us that do are saddened by it.

I appreciate the work the almost whole staff is going through, i mean there are ALOT of lines that needs the change and thats not something you do in a day. Even if it's a little sad te change has to go through. I mean, if it's against the rules- its not a good thing.
And i must say that i love the new drafts - they do look better than the old ones - and i'll be waiting patiently to see the new lines for the unicorns, rainbowmane and the Shima foxes!! <3

i think it would have been better if we could have voted on different styles of line art for the horses and ponies you know like which of these 3 horse line arts do you like more and so on. and i do wish that the unique pets like the unicorns would remain unique i mean it does make them even more special at least to me. but other than that it will make things easier
