Bird
“Birds have wings; they're free; they can fly where they want when they want. They have the kind of mobility many people envy.”
-Roger Tory Peterson-
-Gypsy-Elyadon-With: Cassia-
Sparrow followed Cassia obediently, stopping when she needed to change out of her habit and slipping into the tavern behind her. She understood why Cassia couldn't tell them about their numbers. You certainly don't know who is watching, she thought with a wry grin. I can't count the number of conversations I've heard without those involved knowing. She tried to keep her eyes down to the ground as Cassia suggested as they entered, but years of living alone had trained her to always keep her eyes up, knowing where everyone in the room was at any given time. Bird was glad that she'd had the foresight to rub the charcoal in her hair this morning, dulling it's bright white color and making her slightly less distinctive, but she still noted the eyes that followed she and her friend. Her light grey eyes darted from side to side, not resting on any one person for too long, and she couldn't help but growl slightly when she saw the stares they attracted.
When they reached the tavern keeper, a heavily set man who reminded Sparrow of the trolls in fairy tale books, and the lines on his face showed that he definitely had several years of experience. When Cassia introduced her to the man, Taggis, she nodded once to appear cordial. She listened quietly as Taggis told Cassia what was going on in the Kingdom, but she didn't really understand what was going on. Cassia had told her next to nothing about what this new endeavor entailed, but she was willing to take a shot in the dark, for now at least. Sparrow remained silent through the conversation, nodding again in thanks to Taggis before following Cassia up the narrow stairways, her feet moving soundlessly across the aged wooden planks.
Ethan
"The love of family and the admiration of friends is much more important than wealth and privilege."
-Charles Kuralt-
-Knight-Avalon-With: Lucifen-
As Lucifen took off on the spirited black mare, a broad grin cracked across Ethan's face. He spurred Areo into action, the stallion charging off after them. The two of them moved in sync with each other, the recent years of training showing in the way that they silently communicated with one another. His gaze locked onto where Lucifen charged ahead of him, her bright hair whipping behind her like a banner. He pushed Areo a little harder, hearing the stallion snort in satisfaction as he sped up, passing Lucy and looking back at her over his shoulder with a laugh.
