Ah, got it! The Doctor can die, but his memory remains!!! Legends, oh, legends are never lost!(so says Hercules and a few others...)

Oswin wrote:But no he doesn't, his regenerations are finite as demonstrated by the Master and River Song. Isn't the number twelve? Hid did get some more from River Song, but he still only has a certain number remaining. That picture obviously refers to Jack Harkness. Or maybe Rory. Then again, they both died eventually. Nobody in Doctor Who is truly immortal...Except Oswin of course.
Jack dies?!?!?!?!

She says it’s been so long
She can’t remember when
The mention of his name
Didn’t make her feel again
That anything is possible
And every day’s a brand new start
And love’s something powerful
When it finds a willing heart.
There’s a keeper for every flame.
There was someone in his past
That he hasn’t gotten over yet
Each day is like the last
He just misses what he can’t forget
It’s just an empty space
Where something used to be
Now he guards the gate,
but he’s lost the key
So no one enters, but no one leaves
There’s a keeper for every flame.

Ah, yes, but he has regenerations from River, plus he had used one(causing the metacrisis).

But did River actually give him more regenerations, or just use all hers up to cure him from the poison that made him unable to regeneration? I don't know about Ten2 though, if he would count as a regeneration. The Doctor didn't seem too worried if it did use up a regeneration.

bbut remember guys he killed all the time lords
It is even referenced in Chamelon Circuit's Traveling Man - He has around five hundred lives left
I don't check messages here. If you've found me through other websites or communities such as deviantART/Kiamaras, my characters are not for sale and never will be.

Yeah that's what I was thinking about. Isn't something about time lords only letting you have 13 lives then they have to kill you. Idk I'm half asleep ATM.

Yeah, I've heard that too. But I think that's highly unlikely. For many reasons. I think there is a set number. Whether it's thirteen lives, or whether it's five hundred, even logically the DNA can only be re-organised so many times before something either a) goes horribly wrong or b) there are no combinations left that haven't already been tried.

That's true too.
In 'The Five Doctors' the Time Lord high council offered to reset the Masters Regeneration Cycle if he helped the Doctor. That implies that the high council can mess around with the Regeneration Limit, and that they have a set cycle.
I think. Maybe I'm interpreting it wrong though.
