Cary came quickly down the stairs, holding her dress up as to not trip and fixing her hair. She found alfred and touched his shoulder, "Hes hiding." She huffed, "Why does he do this to me?" She groaned.

Alfred smiled, "He hates parties you know that." And looked down, "how are you walking on that ankle in heels?"

"Im talented alfred, and the dress covers my feet anyway" Cary smiled and touched the diamond bracelet on her wrist then secured the matching earrings and sighed. "Leave me alone to greet people." She grumbles and walked through the crowd slowly.

Clark arrived early, in a black tux, with his glasses. He looked around for Cary, mostly to make sure he wasn't too early in ways of being several hours ahead.

Cary was talking with harvey dent by the bar though she doesnt drink. "Its organized." She smiled.

"So wheres the big guy?" Harvey asked

Cary tried not to glare, "Fashionably late..."

Kaiiyen came in after Clark, wearing her short green blue metallic dress. She waved to Clark, who turned and frowned.

Kaiiyen ignored the frown and went over to Cary.

"The energy project is at a stop right now but-" Cary saw clark come up behind harvey. "Oh harvey this is a friend of the company's Clark kent hes a um-" her jaw almost dropped when she saw kaiiyen, "Journalist... From metropolis." She chuckled awkwardly.

Harvey smile and shook his hand, "Nice to meet you mr kent."

Clark smiled and shook Harvey's hand. "Nice to meet you too, Mr. Harvey. And this is my cousin, Claire Kent." He gestured to Kaiiyen, who was in her disguise of curly chocolate brown hair and extravagant venom green eyes, with large nerdy black framed glasses that only accented and complemented her heart shaped face. Even in her diguise she was drop dead gorgeous. She stopped examining a painting and walked over. Sh smiled at Harvey, but didn't bother to flirt. Nor did she have any intention of doing so.

Clark locked his jaw at his cousin dress. He hadnt intended for her to change it at all, as he thought it looked fine when it was floor length.

"I'm Claire Kent." She said in her now perfect English, but didn't extend her hand for him to shake unless he did so first. "I'm-"

"She's studying to be a reporter and journalist as well." Clark said in a tight voice, giving his cousin a look that said I am NOT happy right now.

"You know what Harvey excuse me, I need to talk to mr. Kent about the... Press? Yeah." Cary pulled kent to the side and Harvey nodded understandingly. Cary looked at him, "Are you trying yo make a statementt? This is black tie not prom. The ambassadors of five countries are here!" She said through clenched teeth looking around for her father.

Kaiiyen sighed as Cary dragged her cousin away, watching them. She glanced back at Harvey, looking him up and down casually, sizing him up, evaluating and analysing him. Then she looked back to her cousin and Cary.

Clark glanced at his cousin before looking back at Cary. "I gave her the dress, and the skirt touched the floor then. She must have changed it up after I left. You think I don't know anything about the dress code here? I do. I'm 29, Cary. I don't need you reminding me of the dress codes. I'm not the one breaking the rules, but we can't do anything about it now."

"Oh my god." Cary said under her breath and ran a hand through her hair and looking back at kaiiyen, "What will the vanschmits say?" She gasped. "What will afred-" she looked over to see alfred looking at kaiiyen then at her like shes crazy.
