Hi, I'm not really sure how I found the topic, but I'm an Aussie, and what are we talkin' 'bout?

for the word had passed around
The colt from Old Regret had got away.

Omg you have Banjo Patterson in your signature!
I have a book of what seems like almost all his poems! I know quite a few of them by heart...
I've had that book all my life actually, I think my grandpa got it for me :)
I don't actually know what we are talking about....

My favourite banjo poems are deffinatly Man From Snowy River and Waltzing Matilda, I guess the latter is actually a song, oh well.
Come to think of it I also like My Country by Dorethy ? can't remember her name.

No, actually, they were originally poems, but they were loved so much they eventually became songs. Waltzing Matilda being the most famious is now, basically, that unofficial Australian Anthem >.< I love it so much!

**Psst** Love your username!

Thanks, your is great too. ( username)
I thought Waltzing Matilda was in the top three to be our national anthem at one stage. I once saw a group of english kids try and sing waltzing matilda, I tried to sing along but they were so bad I could stay with them. They'd go high then go low and it didn't sound quite right, it didn't have the pluckiness aussie give it.
