Here are a few critiques:

The lines could be a bit smaller and the fluffy stuff near the head/face could be a little neater. The ears could use some work, and the eyes are really pretty, but the expression in kind of awkward. It doesn't look serious or mad or angry or happy . . .it just is. Usually in non-realistic cats, you can use whatever expression you want. I can see that the lines are a bit .. jerky, if you know what I mean. Try making them smoother.

That's about about all the stuff I can come up with. Now for complements to even things out-

It's really good, especially for your first non colored in Oekaki. The shading and the coloring is great too,especially since you jut got used to layering and such. Try to focus more on anatomy, and other then that, this is great! Especially since you use a mouse pad. If you practice enough, I'm sure you could be an intermediate artist.

Ugh.. I tried using the whole thing where if you color without lock alpha and then lock alpha it should only color the color I colored without lock alpha. It failed on me, so I just did a really good job coloring within the lines.

You're right, the lines are crappy in places. My second one will probably be better. Plus I can draw better in real life. :)

I need a tablet for drawing. It would be so awesome...

I wish I was there to help you .. . Because I like, love layers and stuff. Okay . . . try this.

First, draw the red lines. Then the lines. After that, do a basic outline of the coloring. then erase the parts outside the lines and keep doing that until you have it perfectly color. Then select lock alpha and color.

Tablets are expensive. Your parents are cheap.

My posts look nice most of the time, except when I was a noob, or in PM's I really don't care how nice they look. Anyway, I think I'm gonna make a new drawing now. :)
