Achernar
Personality:
The easiest thing to do is to go through the basics of Achernar's personality, starting with the most obvious traits he has; he is very kind, extremely bubbly, happy all the time and has a love to be with friends - though as he is a pup this is to be expected. In his later years he becomes much more independent, but this doesn't mean he isn't anti-social because one of his favorite things to do is to be with friends and to meet new friends. He can be very secretive though, and this can be incredibly annoying to the WOI who are much more open than he. Achernar is a very confident and a fearless male, happy to put himself on the front lines if it ensures or even helps keep the pack safer than before. This overconfidence he has can be troublesome at times, especially when there is something dangerous involved as he would put the task upon himself and usually end up hurt, Achernar is incredibly accident prone and it is a good week for him if he goes without damaging himself.
Though, those are just the basics, the deeper side of him is very interesting, and these traits he will always have, a side he will never grow out of;
Achernar has an absolute fascination with stars and the night sky, spending most of his nights alone he will walk to the top of a small cliff or hill where he can lay in the quietness of the dark and watch the world pass until he falls asleep. He is a wanderer and does have trouble settling down in specific places for a long amount of time, and by this he means months - Achernar will usually keep a den for himself and after a couple weeks he will create a new one to sleep in, preferably quite far away from his previous one.
He gets angered quite easily, and with his over-confidence he is not afraid to lash out at any Warrior who tries to put him down. Over course he would never show this to any Warrior apart of the council or is a higher rank than he.
Story/Histoy:
The night was cool and a breeze had fallen over the island, Achernar was lagging behind his family as they began to return to camp. A smile had crept across his face and his eyes were almost glazed over. His mother turned and motioned him forwards, to sped up, though he barely picked up his pace.
The family returned to their den and curled together to sleep, though Achernar was persistent and as his family fell into a deep slumber, he tried his hardest to keep his gorgeous lavender colored eyes open. He never wanted to sleep again after what he had seen, he wanted to keep that memory fresh in his mind. This wasn't the case and after only twenty minutes he too fell victim to the clutches of sleep.
The dark seemed to move around him in a warm embrace, colors of sparkling blue and emerald greens swirled around him, fiery reds and amber oranges twisted into shapes. The feeling of being free was all there was as he moved through the brightness of the stars. So light.. He murmured quietly as he reached a paw out, tapping the brightness and feeling a zap of happiness course through his body, releasing all the darkness from inside him, replacing it with a purity of the stars. Achernar saw the star he was named after, a blue ball of light that shone with more fierceness than those of the other stars.
He woke up. Sighing in content he turned to his mother, "Can we go see the stars again?" He whispered, the reply from her was soothing, making Achernar happy inside, "Tonight."
