No, I don't think it's over the top, actually. This one choice changes much about the site.

But it's a good change. Yes, a lot of us will miss the old lines, but at least CS isn't in danger of being shut down now.

lol no it really doesn't? it's literally just changing the linearts of stolen lines. i don't understand why, if you love CS so much, you are being so overdramatic about a change that will help the site. equimagine's lines have been the source of multiple arguments since i've joined and to be quite frank, the yulynh lines will change this site for the better. really, it's just a freaking game.

It loved the site as it was. A beautiful site dying as a beautiful one is better than a beautiful site becoming tainted and dying later.

You make some excellent points Tess! For awhile I was just sitting on the fence about the transformation, but now I'm pretty excited to see the new lines...especially for the unicorns!

Its not "tainted and dying". Its just the lines being changed. Whats worse, changing a lineart, or having the site be sued?

We actually had no choice if this art theft was reported, since it would have been either change the horses or shut down the site.

Actually, the site wouldn't have been shut down. That's simply a misconception. What could have happened would be a DMCA report being filed and the site having to remove the pictures completely within 24 hours instead of replacing them. Don't you think replacing them is better than losing them completely?

i'm sorry, i just can't even right now. you speak of the injustice towards the equimagine horses, but what about the injustice to the owners of the photos the lines were traced from? and the horses having a "tainted" background? i fail to see any valid point in your post, and i see only whining that you didn't get what you want. :I

So you would rather CS shut down because of copyright? then let it stay online for everyone else who is fine with the change to enjoy?
