Drafts are supposed to look fat. They have a lot of muscle.

i horseback ride,i know what drafts look like and they are not fat looking

Well, there's a lot of different Drafts, since it's a category and not a breed. Sorta like how there's a bunch of different breeds of "Working Dogs" or "Herding Dogs" or such. There are slimmer ones for show and stockier ones for hard work -- Yul's seem to be more of the latter type.

Draft horses are rather well-known for their tall stature and extremely muscular build. They normally have a more upright shoulder, They also tend to have broad, short backs with powerful hindquarters, all for pulling heavy plows. Also, draft breeds usually have heavy bone, and a good deal of feathering on their lower legs.

At least that is what my book tells me of drafts.

I like the new draft lines. But I would be pleased with any new draft lines so long as it got ride of illusion that the horse is rotated downwards.

If anything, if we do switch, I just don't really think that Yulgnh's lineart is going to cut it for the Equi horses.
I mean, Equi's are more Arabian-style designs. Not that I have anything against Yulgnh's art, but it just wouldn't work.
Maybe if we had a different lineart, both to make it distinguishable and to make the design fit, I would say yes.
But, with the way that the designs wouldn't fit the current horse linearts, I'll have to say no.
Only small adjustments would be needed, anyway. Like how we have the new draft lineart - edit the current horse lineart to fit the classic Arabian-style horse.
Once again, no offense intended.

This has been brought up before and I have to say I agree.. ... The conversation didn't get very far though..

That horse is probably a stallion from the build, which will instantly make him bulkier. Anyway I don't find Yulynh's drafts fat, they are muscular lol But a lot of draft horses look fat. Not always are, but they have extremely thick bones so it makes them appear fat.
I own a draft, trust me on this, even when I work her every single day and am doing 2nd level dressage with her, she looks bulky. That's just how they are built..

I think that Yulynh did a very good job of switching over onto some new lines and capturing most of the features of them.

I'm sorry that we seem to be upsetting you, but if you are tired of the arguments, I would recommend no longer looking at the forum <3 I had to suggest this to my friend cause it kept making her mad XD she seems much better now that she isnt looking at it anymore

As much as I agree with you, I think the whole point of this project is to "downsize on the number of horse linearts" we have right now ^-^"
don't go, i can't do this on my own

excuse me? i'm not "odd" and i already know what a draft looks like. Drafts are gentle giants, I think the old linearts portraits that better

Just let it go bros~. Smoke on the water... or... bugs... on the water... WATER UNDER THE BRIDGE. Yeah, that's the one. 8D

But seriously, you guys have made me crave these changes. And yes. Some true Clydes would be awesome. C: If the change happens, someone should suggest it in the "Suggest new pet ideas" thread. ^.^
