If the change happens,

If you have items on a pet that will be changed. What happens to the items? Do they get deleted, moved back into your items, or be on the new version?

I assume the items will either stay put or move into your inventory, but if not, I'm sure Tess will tell us before changing them!

Since the only thing that changes is the image of the pet, I imagine they'll just stay the same, just like they do when a newborn grows up--you know, same pet, different image.

It'd probs be the same as what happens when they grow. The items will spontaneously and hilariously be in the wrong place. XD

Pretty sure this is what would happen - the image underneath would be replaced with the updated one, but the items would stay in place over top of it. ^^

Equi admitted long ago that she traced the horse lines. Overlays in the thread or not, the art theft is a given. It's there. But it's been resolved with Equimagine long ago. The fact that the horse lines now might be changed means that CS does want to fix some leftover issues, but also wants to keep in touch with the community.

The reason this was being kept away was most likely because no one wanted to initiate a hunt on Equimagine or anyone else for that matter. It was resolved behind closed doors so there wouldn't be any drama. I never quite fancied the lines being kept on CS, but that's not my call to make, and I certainly don't know what went on exactly. But this thread is proof enough that if it was made public long ago, there would be tons of harasment. People would rile eachother up to the point of striking down anyone with a different opinion, much like what is happening now.

Plus, please try to understand that some users may just be too young to understand the importance of artistic integrity, which a lot of us hold dear. They just like the horses for the single reason of liking the horses.

I'm all in favour for the change, I'd love to see all art theft issues solved for good and the lines made easier for artists to work on. And I'd love to see CS set an example for the strict art theft policies it tried to live by.

But please, keep it civil. There's no need to rip eachother new ones for the sake of an argument, and it surely won't help yelling at users who voted no. It's okay to try and bring out the truth, but let people figure out their vote by themselves rather than shoving anything into their face.

Had to scroll back several pages to find something another Moderator posted and found it. Thank you, both you and Ricorn, for bringing to the light what it is that the purpose for this thread is about.

I wanna see the new unicorn lines too, I bet they'll be epic. We should just turn all the horses and ponies into narwhals so the unicorns will have friends with horns too.

I know that there could possibly be a vote on it.. but what would we be voting on? What are the options I wonder?

I think the old equimagine items have been mostly updated and the rest would be changed over as well right? I thought I saw something like this?? ^^ That would be awesome!!

On the topic of the items though, there are items based on Equimagine's lineart. If people own those will they be able to trade them in for the items that will fit correctly, or will they keep them? Because I can see an automatic update not going over well because some people might have worked them in quite cleverly in other places, but at the same time people could be stuck with a bunch of items that no longer fit any pets.

Also I totally support all Equimagine horses being updated to narwhales. No, all horses.
