But now I'm confused on the people not being aware of who the copyright holders are xD
I find it really really really odd that the links to the original pictures conveniently popped up right when this thread started o.O Logically speaking, if someone posted the links to the original pictures, then it would spread like wildfire, which means that those who previously didn't know where the originals came from *should* quickly get word of where the photos came from.

Well, mods deleted posts talking about it. We weren't allowed to talk about it on site. I can only imagine that influence is to blame. When a person in power says you can't do something, people tend to assume they can't. It made people feel quite powerless over the issue I imagine.
I can only assume that, with this thread and the argument it has brought, anyone that knew who the copyright holder's were decided to speak up and become involved, and now everyone does because we're no longer disjointed.

They do need to be changed, as much as I hate to admit it. What about lawsuits? You can't prove she's guilty, and you can't prove she's not, so that would keep trouble away later, right? And then there is the fact that they are how many horse lines on the site right now? It may raise demand for all those other pets sitting in the back of your trading center. Just think about much better it will be for everyone if this goes through. I'll miss them, and so will plenty of you, but is it worth all the trouble that it could cause in the future? I think not.

this his been discussed, if the site was gonna get sued tess wouldn't give us the option t vote on the change. she'd just change it

Yeah well this is a nice way to keep it swept under the rug like they have been doing for years and getting rid of the linearts without saying they knew it was traced and they were condoning art theft for all these years. I can't wait till this things done and I pray that this goes through so CS doesn't have that association with stolen art, it's better for us all

I don't think that's possible unfortunately. I think its an all-in type thing, they all change to yulynh or they all change to something else that doesn't have the art theft issue. I think the only ones that might get a special lineart would be PPS's that people are concerned about and possibly the RBM... but if a mod could verify if this is right or not I would appreciate it?

On that sort of note, I am so dying to see the unicorn and donkey lines! Bring on the cute donkey-ness

Unfortunately the DMCA is very strict on this sort of thing. If they decide there is enough evidence (which they usually do) then the site has 24 hours to remove the offending material. Not replace it, remove it.

^ This. 8D I'm so excited to see what comes out for the unicorns - I was never particularly fond of the poses on the old ones, though I liked their designs, so same design + new lines would be lovely to see. ^^

I would be upset if they got rid of the old lines. I personally like them much better, but if CS is going to get in trouble, then why would there be a choice?

I don't want them to change. I collect the old patterns because I like them better then the new line patterns. If they change I will no longer have any interest in the horse lines, and will trade them all away... So yah I hope Tess or someone sees this, because I love and collect the old horse lines... But it would be cool to see the new unicorn lines....
