What is this about traced lines? I'd like an honest answer as well.

Could I have proof of this?
I'm not sure what to vote anymore. I love the old horse lines but at the same time that new draft looks adorable <3

Hey, for those who were wondering: there are plenty of posts in the first couple hundred pages talking about the traced images ^^; almost stuffed to the brim once you get to page 40 or so, up to... uh, around 140 I think? 240? something like that xD
Just a heads up: global announcement posts do not show up in your recent posts and also cannot be found using the search function (and the "last unread post" feature also doesn't work properly, but that's another thing), so if you're basing your thoughts off of that, please know that there are many not-deleted posts that just aren't showing up since this is a global announcement. ^_^
A lot of users didn't know that and immediately thought that their posts were deleted; this isn't the case, and you also don't have to feel bad for not knowing since you aren't the only one!
If you weren't basing your thoughts off of that, please ignore me :3
("you" is a general you, since switching to the third person would be downright awkward in this post)
Was your pet adopted December 18, any year, or December 24, 2011? It is most likely an older pet! CLICK ME to identify your pet!

Some of equimagine's original foal lines appear to be copied from photographs (as described on the front post), which is why those lines were retired and new foal lines made. The adult lines had no definite issues and so could have been kept, but equimagine wanted to change them as well to fit better with her new foal lines. However, after she changed all her lines, people still kept digging up photographs and accusing her of tracing, and her lines were always treated with suspicion by the members, which is one reason why all of her lines are being considered for replacement: even ones that weren't traced are still 'tainted' by their association to the copied lines.
This has been posted about all through the thread, so it's very easy to find posts about it if you look back a little way. Remember that Search doesn't work in Global Announcements, so you have to search for them manually by going through pages.

round about page 74 is one of them.
All things considered I still think the updated designs would be a great thing in it's own right.
The hurricane pony in particular.
I always thought tat out come looked sloppy.
As a artist on another site, I understand the work involved and how you can become uninspired.
I would have never released some of those lines, and you can see where she either rushed or used sub-par equipment.
From a objective point of view, you would see CS really should update some of them.
And in all reality, this site belongs to Tess.
She didn't have to give us an opinion, but she did.
For that I'm grateful.
Some people should really cut the entitled act and take it for what it is.

I don't mean to be rude but are we honestly going to keep pretending her lines weren't traced?
Even if you don't believe the overlays, look at it this way: both the obviously traced foal and the adult horses are the exact same quality, drawn the same way, both with rather unsteady lines. Why in the world would she trace the foal if she was capable of free-handing the adult and making it the same quality?
I don't think there's any question as to whether or not all of her lines are traced, honestly.
