Personally I am 100% in favor of the change. Traced or not the facial anatomy of the equimagine horse is atrocious. They would gain a lot more than loose in the switch. The new draft lines are amazing as well - regal and strong like they should be ... Not derpy and comical as they are now.

Those are facts. Equid admitted to it when she was still on.

The only thing I am looking forward to is the Draft lines changing.

Yes they seem a lot nicer, but still we need the ponies changed overall so we dont end up in the future with a legal dispute on our hands.

On the topic of photographers doing something about the theft; of course they should. I lvoe playing CS but as much as I do, I will not compromise my moral code for it. Art theft is wrong, and when the site fails to do anything about it, I see nothing wrong with the copyright holders doing exactly what they are well within their rights to do.

The actual threat of legal action should be irrelevant. Just because CS may or may not be in legal trouble should have no bearing on our ability to do the right thing.

It is fact that Equimagine traced the lines. She admitted to it, and the proof speaks for itself. There's no reason to argue that point any further, the only thing left is to deal with it.
They/Them pronouns only.

Too many people think that automated responses are actual responses from humans (and not just on CS). ._. -severely irritated because whyyyyy can people not recognize an automated response- -vein pop-

[just thought i'd mention that there is an automated response unless you have them disabled, but it's completely different and is received immediately instead of a day later
also, with the way contacting shutterstock works, the only thing you get is a box to explain your situation so an automated reply like that wouldn't work as obviously not everyone's situation is the same]

but anyway, i'm personally really looking forward to the egyptian litter on the new lines. ;u;

That alone is the only positive thing I think is coming out of this. Everything else; nope. I'm a fan of both, but I love Equi's ponies a lot more. And the horses are special. This change bothers me I'm so many ways.....

One of which is the Rainbow mane. It's a main list pet.....that looks like a new pet. >.< And the confusion starts.....

So if the art was indeed stolen, why don't they just change them immediately without the poll or this whole thread? o.o

Only a few of the lines were taken from photos (the foal lines), while the others are possibly suspect but not definite, so the adult lines would be replaced more because of the negative association with those copied lines (and for the uniformity, which is certainly an issue as well), not because they themselves were copied.

*cough*

I don't care about uniformity, I like the differences. ):
Vincent Van Gogh. Everyone said to him, "You can't be a great painter, you only have one ear." And you know what he said? "I can't hear you."

Don't blame me, I voted for Kodos.

My only question is will this effect my 2009 pps buckskin pony? I don't want her changed. She is perfectly cute how she is.
