Re: Equine Transformation Project - REMEMBER TO VOTE!

For those asking who's been threatening to quit if it happens because they haven't seen them, I've seen a couple of signatures saying that they "seriously will quit and move on to a better site" if the change is made. I haven't seen it said in-post (or I don't remember seeing it). Of all the arguments made against the change, those are the least compelling, because it's essentially the equivalent of stomping your feet. I get enough stomping from my upstairs neighbor to meet my daily stomping quota. :) And I don't think I'm alone in this opinion.

Harpalyce wrote:From what I gather the artists are pretty enthusiastic about the project. And I am, too! I think the way the designs have been re-done are great! It's like going from a VHS to a new Blue-Ray disc - same movie, just more awesome! c:

But some people like VHS. *raises hand* I'm an oldie who would take VHS over a blue ray any time. It may please some, but it doesn't for everyone.

And people really could quit. I almost did when the site got new features. I have almost completely quit other game sites when they changed. I very well might become less active when/if this change takes place. It just wouldn't be as fun anymore. Everything old like me is gone. It's all "modern." Not my cup of tea. How am I supposed to remember the good ol' times on here when it doesn't look the same or have the same pets?

And users that are threatening to quit, some are dead serious. And some are friends of mine. They're not just "random user" to everyone, only to you.

Hopefully soon - I think we're all pretty tired of spending 5-8 hours a day babysitting it. >.< The numbers haven't changed in three days, no matter how many more people have voted, so I'm pretty sure the current percentages are what the final values will be.

Unrelated to the above^, I have seen people on either side of the debate threaten to leave if they don't get their way.

THIS is what's frustrating!
Tess should be able to make one decision without a bunch of people getting annoyed.
I don't know, it just irks me that people ALWAYS have to get their own way. :C

But, it's put up to a vote. And I think that the questionable lineart is a pretty compelling reason to vote for the change.

As for imagination going wild, by the way, it's kinda hard to imagine this:

Equimagine herself also admitted some level of wrongdoing. It is perhaps not damning enough that it would hold up in court, but it makes the old lineart distinctly, well, icky! There's a cloud of suspicion and dubiousness over them. And we have a perfect opportunity to change that now.

Anyway, on the subject of people leaving...

To be brutally honest...

(And perhaps a tad mean...)

Hmm...if CS truly and honestly wanted to pride themselves on being honest and all that stuff they would have gotten rid of this the minute they knew it happened. They would not have let it sit here for so long then suddenly decided to change it. Also, if they want to keep out art theft they need a ton more moderators in that section because more times than not I have seen art theft go unpunished. And when I did spot someone who had opied my art I reported it and they did nothing. That's all.

I just want to say this: I was looking at the new draft lineart when something occurred to me...the new drafts sorta look like Big Mac from MLP! I now love the lines, like, a thousand times more! : D

When there is a big enough difference between the choices to make the decision. c: I hope it's going to be soon, though. It must be hard work for the mods just sitting around and watching it, deleting posts, and stopping arguments.
