If you don't mind my asking, how do you do the shading?

>:T I know, I just can't get it to leave me alone! ( x) just kidding, I'm not that self-centered, I promise!) ♥

~Hawk~ wrote:lol, i really think that the shading really makes it amazing! Not that it's not ALREADY incredibleiscious (Hawk's new word) but the shading is just plain amazing!!!

o3o Me too, actually. Most of my lines look, like, 39749878170367218 times better with shading ;___;

I like both ideas! A hamster would certainly be fun <3

A'right. Well, I started with a plain, white base. As usual, I place the light source ahead of the subject. Then I take the gray color, and just sloppily mark down about where I want the shadows to be. It helps to look at other art, until you get the basic idea of how light hits objects/animals. Then (with pen pressure on) I just take white again, and clean up my shading, adding quick, small strokes to look like fur (see stomach). It's super important to have pen pressure, because it's hard to do well if you don't.

Well, it's something you download. I actually found a link on the CS help section, under 'Oekaki'.

If you own a graphics tablet, like a "Wacom Bamboo Fun" tablet, you can use it on our Oekaki board to get pressure-sensitive drawing. You just need to install the JTablet plugin. After that your tablet should work correctly when drawing (you might need to restart your computer for the changes to take effect).

Well, look at the brush-size palette, where you change the spacing/smoothnes/size. Next to the option to change the size, there should be a circle. When it's filled in (black) it is controlled by pen pressure. When it's not filled in, pen pressure is off. (you can also have it for opacity, but I never do). Simply click the circle to change it from on to off.
