I just viewed the old Malk lines that were before my time and actually really, really liked the heads on her old draft versions..no matter what still will play and collect my pets as usual

The staff is entitled to their opinion as well. They don't just color things and check your posts, they also collect.

So the old draft, pps, unicorns, and malk horses will stay the same if we already own some? Cause I worked long and hard for my PPS equine or will these guys be like the old ones?

Draft horses are one of my top 2 favorite breeds of horses, I have seen a lot of them in person and NONE of them look quite as extreme as the picture you posted. They were all more slender than that, I think the picture you found was just the most stocky one you could find...

The horse might be a bit stockier than the average draft, but horses come in all shapes in sizes. I feel like the new drafts accurately represent a draft horse- even though they may be a bit stocky.

Please be mature about this. If you google draft horses, some are less stocky, some are super stocky. It's about the breed, isn't it.

I think what's 'off' with the draft is the leg placement on the near back leg, as if Yulynh didn't draw the leg in quite the right place. Not bashing, I actually love love love the new draft lines, and in my opinion they are much better than equi's.

Also. TRACING A PHOTOGRAPH IS ART THEFT. This is because PHOTOGRAPHY IS ART.

I strongly vote no for this!
I love the old horse lines to pieces and I spent so much trouble trading for the Buckskin PPS just because I loved the lineart. Transfering them over would just be upsetting for me. Please don't do this...please

It's been stated a few times that even if the descision is made to change the lines, it's likely that separate polls will be set up to decide the fate of "special" pets like the buckskin PPS. There's a chance that even if the normal lines are changed over, your PPS could be safe... or even get an cuter, unique lineart! (you never know)
I'm sorry that you find it upsetting, but keep in mind that there's a lot of other factors to be considered.

I'd just like to note that I'm not a staff member. I help out with putting art up on the fanart site- my job has absolutely nothing to do with the general workings of CS. I'm every bit as clueless as you are when it comes to whether or not the descision has been made yet.

They are not rare because of the lines or designs, they are rare because of demand and how many are in circulation throughout cs

Slightly late, but demand doesn't affect rarity. Equinagine's horses mostly have pretty low demand ans there are plenty of rare ones, as a relevant example.

They never had much demand in the first place.
A lot of people are hoping that this switch will increase the popularity of horses and make them more valuable for trading fodder.

What is so wrong about traccing a picture im sure uust about everyone here has at one point or another. Thats how most people start drawing. All she did was want to make them look more realistic. Canbyou reall blame her for that. Dont get me wrong i love yul's horse i just dont think this is one that she should change.

Actually I literally looked up draft horses and picked something from the first row.
And if you'd like, I can give you many more examples of thick drafts. There are some that aren't as stocky, but many are. Just give me the word and I'll provide examples.

I don't need examples, I have seen enough in real life to know that the specific one you chose to show is not what most drafts look like. I even did and internet search for draft horses and there was only 2 out of I don't even know how many (and that 2 includes the one you showed) that were that muscled.

I see some questions, answers, and arguments being repeated over and over and over in this topic. If there is anything that you're unsure of, please just read through the topic first to see if what you're looking for has already been covered.

We have noticed that it seems like the main concerns so far are about a few favorite pets like the PPS ponies and the rainbow mane changing. If the opinion remains divided then we may re-vote with new conditions such as keeping the PPS ponies and have special line edits for things like the rainbow mane horse so that it still looks good on the new lines.

So what would you guys think about that?
