I know this is off topic but it's been bugging me - what did the old malk lines look like? I wasn't around when they were in their old versions.

Perhaps a bit off topic but another question about Malk lines, why were they revamped? Did she just not like her old art style?

She wanted to make the lines cleaner and more detailed, so she made all-new lines and transferred her old designs to the new lines. :3 There were quite a few people who really disliked the change, but most liked the end result and felt it was a good update overall. viewtopic.php?f=20&t=28134&hilit=linearts
There was also another slight change to Malk's lines in 2010 when she lost all her linearts in a computer accident and had to redraw them from the already-released pets, so she's technically had three changes to her lines. The only old-line Malks still on the site are the element cats, as she didn't want to redraw those again. X3

It is a bit relevant to the topic, as it shows the precedent for updating lines to a new art style and transferring over the old designs. :3 Now, a few years after that change, probably most people are content with all the Malks of each species having (almost) the same lines instead of a mix, although some still miss the originals (those PPS horses were so cute...). It's a bit like a smaller version of the current situation, though without the copying issue. As with the other one, mostly positive while a few people really disliked it. That's generally how these changes seem to go. X3

this is horrible i mean it will make th old ones like not rare at all and i know some people who have spent all their time working to get those then this happens they will ruin their level sort of it will look like they are not wroth trading with. i sorry but i just don't like this at all

I am not looking forward to the changes. My first pet a few years back was an Equimagine horse and I would be very disappointed if he was changed. At least I think my first pet was a horse. either way, I'm extremely disappointed.

I love the old horse lines to pieces and I spent so much trouble trading for the Buckskin PPS just because I loved the lineart. Transfering them over would just be upsetting for me. Please don't do this...please
That buckskin transformation is just awful!

^ the admins and mods have agreed to possibly keep the lineart on the more popular design so Equimagine's PPSs, RBM and others will probably stay

It's been stated a few times that even if the descision is made to change the lines, it's likely that separate polls will be set up to decide the fate of "special" pets like the buckskin PPS. There's a chance that even if the normal lines are changed over, your PPS could be safe... or even get an cuter, unique lineart! (you never know)
I'm sorry that you find it upsetting, but keep in mind that there's a lot of other factors to be considered.

Question, it it necessary to have the "Maybe" or "Unsure" options?
Really, the main debate here is between yes or no, and the other two options are just taking percentages away from the main factors. 14% is a lot taken away. That's one reason why the yes and no options have been sitting at the same percentage for so long.
I just think removing them will help, because neither maybe or unsure will help the situation at hand anyways.

I know this is from a few pages back, but I wanted to comment on it. I think the Unsure option was put in so they could know if they did a bad job of explaining it, and they need to try again or change how it's explained.
Taking out the Maybe option probably wouldn't change the number of people voting Yes or No. The people vote Maybe because they don't know/don't care about it enough to vote Yes or No. Odds are that, if the option is taken out, they just won't vote. If it's left in at least we can get a rough idea of how many people have read the board. It may not be helpful to us, but it is to the staff. (At least that's what I started thinking, the Maybe option really made no sense to me at first either. ^-^)

I have a question. What's going to happen to the equi horses that already have versions of them in Yulynh line-arts? I don't have the pictures right now, but I know there are several that look very similar, mostly the natural colored ones since there's only so much you can do with them. That's could make things very confusing for people.

It's one of the example horses that Sorren made - she posted it in the thread in response to someone who was concerned about how that particular horse would look in the new lines. :3
