I love the more recent horse linearts (Go either way on ponies), I vote yes simply because I know my wishlist will grow.

I can see that a lot of CS users don't mind either way but I would much rather have an eclectic collection of horses and ponies in various stances and styles than have 500 of the same thing in different colors. I gladly forfeit the ability to "fit" an item if it means losing my variety of line art, and besides it just means I'll have to be more clever with item placement.

...not to be rude, but why are you talking about the site in 'the early days' if you joined in 2012?

It would have had not the poll been placed. Word spreads quickly when the dam is opened wide. I'd rather not see Tess and co. get into trouble for allowing the art to remain. Since this thread is only for whether or not we want the change (and not to put a black spotlight upon Equi), I say make the change!

what do you mean "it could have had not the poll been placed"? The fact that Tess is letting us choose shows that the site isn't in any danger of being shut down because of Equi's lines. People keep saying it'll get shut down if the linearts don't change, and that's just a load of horse poop. As you said, this thread is only about whether we want the change, and my vote is no. But every time someone says the lineart should stay, they get jumped on by the people who want the change. I myself have gotten a few PMS from people saying things like "oh well you know the lineart is stolen and the site could get shut down" etc etc.
Really people, stop trying to make us feel bad for not agreeing with you, I'm sick of it.

WHEN the change occurs though I WILL NOT GRIPE!

ALL of the line art is gorgeous old and new and I commend the artists for their hard work and the sharing of their talents to produce artwork for us to collect, admire, aspire to and judge. Thank you CS for even being here in the first place. :D
Always looking for wishlist items and pets. (^.^)

A bunch of people don't even know about the art theft deal. And a few extra biased peope completely deny that Equimagine could ever do something so "wrong".

But no, the site wont get shut down. DMCA isn't entirely rare, though.

If a normal CS member traced art, they would be punished and I suppose the art would be removed, correct? So why should traced lineart be allowed to stay because it's 'unique' or 'a part of CS history'?

I thought you were just complaining.

Anyway, everyone is entitled to an opinion. Personally I thoroughly dislike the '09 horse and pony models, won't knock on someone for liking them, though.

It's amazing how people think the site would be SHUT DOWN. That would only happen if the site's pets were littered wuth theft and copyright infringement. The worst we're looking at is a DMCA complaint, which would result in all of the equimagine horses poofing. No vote, no designs being saved, nothing.

I don't see the debate in whether the lines were taced or not. They obviously were, and if you deny that... I... I don't know how to say that without offending other opinions.

Even though CS is being a hypocrite by breaking it's own strict policy on art theft? Okay then.

Onew, can you just stop bashing other people for their opinions? Tess wanted our opinions, and Goddess_Sophia gave hers.

I'm back on cs after a long break, and I'm trying to get all the pets I've missed over the past couple years. Trades are appreciated greatly!!

Everyone keeps saying this percent against that percent, but look at the number of users that are actually registered... 280,386! The number of votes doesn't even cover a significant portion of that amount. I understand that a LOT of users aren't active/coppa'd (are they even able to vote??)... but I feel like the POLL should be seen on the front page, to give ALL active users a chance to cast their vote... Otherwise, this thing might potentially be decided by less than 6% of the community, and I don't like the way that sounds.

280,386/2969 = 94.45 (rounded)
That means approximately 5.5% of users have given an opinion on the matter as of writing this post...

I'm not bashing anyone. Is that what bashing is really considered on this site?
