Okay, quick question..

The CS World Records have a category for 'Old Horses'. After the change happens, will this still exist? How will we tell if the horses are changed 'old' linearts? Im just asking as I was thinking of competing c:

I just kinda wish people would stop debating whether or not Equa's lines were traced. She admitted to her mistake, and I believe that that topic should be dropped. This topic was made for whether or not we want the change, but it seems like a lot of you are just debating the integrity of the staff....

As for me, I am neutral. I voted yes, because I think the change would be cool, but seeing so many of you be sad to see the old ones go is rather depressing. I think that if all of the old Equa horses could get their own line arts...that would be awesome <3 Ultimately, it is up to Tess and the staff. I hope that they make a wise decision as I am sure they will c:

And they won't be any more less special with the improvements. I'd rather see the change than come here and find that the site has been closed down due to plagiarism. Even though there have been some heated "discussions", I rather like being here, trading and gifting others.

@Hekomi: Thanks, hun. I was wondering if it really was hers or if it was another artist's work she was using. Thanks for the clarification on that.

If the site was at risk of being closed down because of Equi's linearts, it wouldn't have been put up to a vote for us.

It would have had not the poll been placed. Word spreads quickly when the dam is opened wide. I'd rather not see Tess and co. get into trouble for allowing the art to remain. Since this thread is only for whether or not we want the change (and not to put a black spotlight upon Equi), I say make the change!

I'm voting no  on the change for one simple reason... Uniqueness. Even though rarities won't/shouldn't be affected it's the simple fact that if you were here from the early days you've watched the site grow and become something so much bigger and better than a lot of us imagined. To have a funky Nick horse is something to brag about! Look how the designs have changed over the years! Wow! I personally adore the fact that I can see the progression of artwork over time. I LOVE the old drafts over the new ones and the foals from the early days are so flippin' cute!!! The ones kicking and bucking, the sleepers, the panda drafts!... aaaawwwwdorable! I honestly wish some of the old line art would be brought back to change up the monotony of shape and style.

I can see that a lot of CS users don't mind either way but I would much rather have an eclectic collection of horses and ponies in various stances and styles than have 500 of the same thing in different colors. I gladly forfeit the ability to "fit" an item if it means losing my variety of line art, and besides it just means I'll have to be more clever with item placement.

It's amazing how people think the site would be SHUT DOWN. That would only happen if the site's pets were littered wuth theft and copyright infringement. The worst we're looking at is a DMCA complaint, which would result in all of the equimagine horses poofing. No vote, no designs being saved, nothing.

I don't see the debate in whether the lines were taced or not. They obviously were, and if you deny that... I... I don't know how to say that without offending other opinions.

Even though CS is being a hypocrite by breaking it's own strict policy on art theft? Okay then.
