Pebblerun had heard what Tigerclaw had said to Wolfpaw. However, she kept after the she-cat, pushing her muscles to get closer. As she jumped through a clump of ferns, she watched Wolfpaw tumble to the ground. She bounded over, her pace slowing down. Instead of hurrying to make sure the apprentice was alright, Pebblerun trotted lightly around Wolfpaw to sit in front of her with her dappled orange and brown tail over her paws.

Wolfpaw hauled herself up, looking at Pebblerun.
"What do you care. The only cat who cares is Duskpaw. And it's all because of that stupid kit!" She showed hurt in her eyes as she said so.

Pebblerun looked at the she-cat with an even gaze. She didn't say anything for a few moments as she took in Wolfpaw's words. " Is that really what you think? That everyone is more focused on a small, annoying kit when they should be focusing their attention on a bigger, annoying apprentice?" She asked, not batting an eye that she had slightly insulted both of them.

Wolfpaw hissed.
"Kits become apprentices. Apprentices become warriors. After all, wasn't it a kit who made us move here in the first place?" Her eyes held a glare that had lost all it's familiar shyness. Her fur stood on edge, in defiance.
"Everyone is a kit when they start. Even the cat who made me a cripple. Who made your leader lose a life, and injure warriors and apprentices alike. Kit's aren't to be ignored."

" There were many factors that got us here. But you are right. Kits shouldn't be ignored. And Stormkit is not ignored. And neither are you. But you need to stop all of this, Wolfpaw. You can blame a cat from the moment they are born." Pebblerun insisted.

Wolfpaw stood, losing her gaze. She, all along, had even gotten the kits name wrong.
"Thats not the issue. That kit made me lose everything." She looked at the deputy. "And I don't want to go back. Not if that kit is there. It's ruined my life." Wolfpaw flicked an ear. "And it's annoying."

He smiled "correct mistypaw, well done" he purred with a great since of pride in his apprentice.

Mistypaw purred back to her mentor,"Thanks."

Songpaw sighed as she blindly looked around camp. She turned around and jumped onto a tree that had lots of weak branches.

Tigerclaw chuckled, "I know I"m only teasing little warrioer." He chuckled as he rested on his back with the kit gently purched on his stomach.

Hawkclaw walked into the clearing, sitting and closing his eyes in the sun... -where is my sister?- he wondered

pebblerun looked skeptical. " Somehow, I doubt a young kit can make you lose everything. And definitely couldn't have ruined your life. But if you would expand on these accusations." Pebblerun trailed off, waiting for Wolfpaw to talk. However, the deputy didn't say anything against the kit's annoyance level.
