I've been seeing a lot of questions and concerns arising in posts that could be answered by looking at the first post Tess made. I feel like some people don't trust the administrators and artists from some of the more recent posts I'm seeing. They are the ones who pulled this site together and made it what we come to enjoy daily. I'm hoping people understand this stuff a bit better and maybe trust their own administration. They've been good to us thus far, so maybe show a bit of respect and trust in their judgement and opinions and even claims. So maybe take the time and read the front page.

P.S. Thank you to those who answered my question on the Roadkill PPS from last night. I guess it was deleted or somethin' 'cause it's not showing up in my recent posts so I can't direct my gratitude to those specific individuals but to know it was brought to the attention of staff makes me feel a bit better. I just feel the design was pulled off perfectly with Equimagine's lines and it would indeed have seemed weird if the Roadkill PPS was redone on Yuhlyn's Original Pony PPS lines, 'cause it'd be standing instead of looking... dead. xD

@ odin: Demand won't last on these horses, like Calix said. I'm pretty sure it'll last a month before dimming down again. Besides, the transformation is going to take time. If you're really worried about these horse's demand going up though all you like are the dogs, then what are you concerned about, everyone asking for quantity of the changed horses for their Black Advents? :P That'd be so funny if that were to happen... xD

Also, I'd say the biggest reason isn't the items, but the theft.

If that was the reason, I don't think they'd ask us, they would just change them. :/

I would. it softens the blow and lets users feel more in control- or, in an extreme case, like they can't blame administration for their horses being changed because they let us decide. It would be the logical decision.

Exactly this. I saw a ton of people get upset about the one single rat changing- how would people react if every equi horse was changed overnight with no warning?

Posts aren't deleted; on global announcements they don't show up in your 'view my posts' section, nor can you use search on this thread.

The demand will probably go up but not by a huge amount. It's already quite hard to trade off old equi lines, so it'd probably just even out to a reasonable level.

My apologies to Tess and staff, but, I don't trust them. They refused to acknowledge this was an issue when it wasa brought to their attention initially, and deleted any posts talking about it. They covered this up and simply did not address the problem.
So no, I do not trust them.

On that note, how come that rat gets altered like *snap* that because it looks somewhat similar in colour schemes to an offsite design done by the same artist, but a bunch of traced lines need to be voted on? Isn't that a wee bit... hypocritical?

(whoop went to edit merge my double post and Hekomi beat me to it. Thanks!)

Yes, but it needs a majority to win. Not just half of CS. That means you need almost 300 people to suddenly change their minds.

Fifty percent isn't the majority?
In any case, 34 percent SURE isn't a majority. Where are we counting maybes? Because it says "doesn't care." Which means, no problem with changing. Those should by all accounts be counted towards 'yes.'

No, they shouldn't. If they wanted their votes to be counted as yes votes, they would have voted yes. It's insulting to change their vote for them. The maybe votes count as maybes. Neither yes nor no. Personally I think it was pointless to have a maybe option, since it doesn't do anything for either side of the issue, but I guess it was put in so people who can't decide could still feel like they were participating.

If you don't trust the staff... Why are you on this website? ^^'

To be honest, if people from whichever side loses quit, it's not really going to affect CS. There are thousands of accounts that haven't voted yet, and most of them won't.
Also, it's kind of petty to leave just because a lineart changes. There are other things on this website. Why leave over one tiny thing? (Leaving because of the stolen artwork being kept, however, I get. No artist or anyone who appreciates art wants stolen goods.)

Perhaps it was because of the sheer scale? Changing dozens(hundreds?) of pets is a lot different than changing a single rat so it would require some amount of pre-warning..

Then why not just warn us? "It's come to our attention some of our art is of dubious nature. In the near future we will be taking lengths to correct this issue."
