This is the first time I've heard anything about traced art, though.
But, by reading through the first post, I was unsure as to if art theft/tracing was ever confirmed, or if two pieces just happened to look similar?

I posted links to some comparison images on page 205 of this topic (or roughly 205).

So yes the horses are traced..Okay, So let's change them after all these years. I don't get it?

I have to say that I agree with this.
I'm merely confused as to why this error was never fixed, since it's obviously been years since it arose?
I do think that the art needs to be changed if it's been traced, but I don't see why the Chicken Smoothie staff have waited so long to change it.
Unless this was just recently realised?

No offence, but I like the older horse linearts better than the new ones. They are much cuter and made me actually care about the horses. I'm not a big fan of the new art. I mean lately, the new horses have had very boring designs, so I just put them in the pound while the old horses were actually worth keeping because I could tell there was much thought on the design. I just feel that the new horses' designs are carelessly thought out. I want variety. I'm sure that others would aggree. If anyone has any comments about my post, please pm me for I can't keep track of forums.

All of the horses AREN'T the same, though. We have so many different horse lines already that losing some still leaves a lot of variety. I can think of at least a dozen different equine linearts that exist on this site right now (equi's six, yul's two, malk's draft and sleipnir, tess' horses, nick's horses). And as for not liking the new designs-- this project just puts the old designs on new lines. It'll be the same designs you know and love, more or less. C:

No, I never implied that. I like the species, just not the designs. I was simply agreeing with what the person above me said, the designs have been rather plain lately where as the old ones were not near as plain. I have nothing against the artists who colored them in, I know they are great artists I simply dont love love love every design. Just my opinion.

At least with the old (and very good) lines we have something different to look at when we would like! As I posted above, there is nothing wrong or horrible about yulynhs designs or linearts, it is just a preference.

I agree, I mean what is the big deal? I dislike the switch because I want different looking types of horses, I say they should make new lineart for every pet. People like new things, Well someone else could say..Hey! I wanna keep them! That is what they would say..I would agree to disagree, I hope this topic does not get closed due to off-topic. But if the tracing was such a big issue..Why did they not take it down back in 2010? Which was three years ago..Why is it so big of a deal NOW?

Hi. Sorry to bring this up again, but is there any specific reason Tess involved the community? Like, has she done this before, but just changed the lineart herself? And what was the outcome, if you don't mind me asking?


I just ask because I've been part of another site that rolled down hill and into the mud, when the newest admin allowed the users to decide the punishment for certain users. And I haven't been here for long, but I'd rather not see that happen here, as it seems to have a rather active and kind community.
