He was tempted to go after her again, but somewhere he knew she wouldn’t give him another chance. She was thanking him and he snapped at her. She deserved better anyway. Sighing he looked at where she disappeared. She didn’t even give him a chance to explain. He could understand why. He seemed angry, but he only seemed angry because she put so much fear in his heart that he couldn’t bear the thought of her being in danger. “Lyra! Wait!” he whinnied, hoping she’d hear, but he doubted she’d turn back. That didn’t seem to be in her nature.

His neck craned towards the voice of the new filly, who had chosen to now speak. He tuned his ears towards her, listening to her comments. Beleram shot a quick glance at Nizhoni who seemed to be alright now that she was freed from the tanglement of the bush; he found slight amusement in seeing the object on her head and flicked his off with the plume of his tail. Beleram took a step foreward towards the new yearling and opened his muzzle to proceed to answer her. ''Yes, we're fine. Just being clumsy whilst racing around.'' he replied softly but in a confident tone. Upon seeing her friendly expression, Beleram couldn't help but return the infectious smile. His gaze shot to looked around at the towering trees that enveloped them in a array of light and dark patches. He watched Nizhoni introduce herself then glanced at the newcomer, remembering his manners. ''And I'm Beleram. Nice to meet your aquaintance.'' he shifted his footing then bowed his head before stepping back to Nizhoni's side. Beleram thought for a moment of something else he could converse about with this filly, but he didn't want to overload her in questions and perhaps scare her away, so he kept his muzzle shut tightly.

My head goes under and water goes up my nose, and I leap out from the river, shaking myself and snorting, trying to clear my nose and ears. I see Esperanza, and bite my lip, trying to decide if I should escape the water and the play and recover here, or risk the danger of being dunked again so I can try and get back at Esperanza. I decide to go back in.
I jump into the water, still snorting, just a few metres away from Esperanza. I start to paw at the water, letting it splash up at myself but more importantly, at Esperanza. I keep on splashing at her, looking at her innocently while waiting for her to react.-sleeping-
I snort, and look up at Esperanza. I stop splashing and scramble out of the water onto the bank, then make a big point of shaking all the water out of my coat close to Esperanza. "Fell sleeps like a log at the best of times." I say, subconsciously aware of my harsher, more southern accent compared to Esper's smoother tone. I had never really been aware of my voice before. It was how everyone spoke at home.
