I can't tell you how furious I would be if they decide to give us a choice and still change it even though there are loads of unhappy people. If they said that they were going to give us a choice, they need to stick to their words, because while they do own / operate the site, it would be pointless if there weren't any users to keep it popular. I'm sure if they leave it the same people will get over it and the majority of things will go back to normal the way they were. All this idea is doing is causing people to fight, bash art, and express how they're superior over someone else.

Even if they did do it anyway, by the poll it seems the majority wants the change. I highly doubt hundreds of users would leave over this, that's just childish honestly. But that's just my opinion. -shrugs-
And before I get some nasty pms again by a bunch of people assuming I just called them childish, no one has left yet so therefor I was not talking about anyone. Case closed.

I agree with you!! I would love to see the new lineart drafts being released more often *dies happily* I am also so excited to see the donkey and unicorn lines! Donkeys are one of my favourite equine type animals and I fell in love with the donkey PPS from christmas a few years back XD would love to see some more

I think what that person meant is that even though there is a majority that wants the new lines, there is still almost 1,000 people that don't. And that is a lot of people. They did not mean that more people wanted no change or anything like that, please try to see their view before posting stuff like that as it seems a little rude.

One thing I really cannot stand on this thread is all the people who voted yes and keep bragging about how the majority wants change, I am really getting sick of it guys. There is no need to keep rubbing it in our faces and saying stuff over and over again about how the majority is voting for the changes. I myself am quite attatched to the equimagine linearts and it actually is making me cry to think about all these rude people that just keep bashing it. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion but seriously, don't keep kicking dirt in our faces, okay?

We already know that Tess will go with the majority so there is really no need to keep repeating it to us over and over again as if we know nothing because to me it really does come across that way. I never thought that I would get my feelings so hurt over a lineart but I am finding that I am because of all the rude comments and all the people who voted yes and seem to think they are much better and higher than all of us who voted no because they are winning.

I am not trying to be rude in saying any of this but I realize that sometimes what I post comes across as extremely rude even when in my head I am saying it quite differently so please do not read all of this the wrong way<3

Again, I'm rather new here so my vote probably holds no weight, lol
But if you don't mind me adding, I'm kinda of stuck between the two. I do love the older designs (thus I voted 'no'). I think they're more realistic and really quite beautiful. And I do prefer the older pony over the new one more-so than any of the designs. But if its art theft, it probably wouldn't be right to keep them on the site.
I know that's a thought I deal with.

Again, sorry for butting in, but that's my quick two cents.
It probably would've been better if the admins just made the switch and didn't tell us, though. I understand they probably wanted to make us feel included on such an important decisions, but it would've helped to avoid conflict.

If you love the equimagine linearts, keep in mind they'll be archived somewhere that's not officially part of the site.

You may find yourself pleasantly surprised by how much you like the new change, too!

Myself, I'm looking forward to the opportunity to use lineart untainted by any hint of scandal. And before this gets ground into the dirt again: Equimagine herself admitted some degree of wrongdoing. Also, it's pretty hard to do this by coincidence:

No one is bragging about being in the majority. Its the facts, its the truth, it shows above this thread on ever page. Its not bragging when pointing out whats just true.
I'm sorry you like the lines, but the truth is the majority want the change and its not meant to be insulting. You're the one taking it personally.

Well... I, for one, am a bit unsure about changing it. I'm a newbie, and may not be as experienced, but I think that it may be better to have the old ones. There's nothing like originality, right? It'd be like taking off the Warrior Cat and Malk Cat linearts to convert into normal cat linearts, in my opinion... It would really sadden me to see these lovely linearts disappear... I'm a fan of them!

Most of Equimagine's lines are traced.

On the topic of whether or not the lines will be changed regardless of the poll; probably? I can't imagine a site that has it explicitly stated in a dozen places tracing = bad allowing traced work officially, or even not going through with it after having put so much work into it already. This is just a nicer way for us to feel more in control over the situation, that it's not tess doing it to us, we did it to ourselves. So when it goes through rather tahn users be upset wildly at staff, they only have themselves to blame for not gathering enough support for the poll. Even though it will probably go through anyway.

Query though: People have been saying for dozens of pages we need to get 75 percent yes on the poll but, I never actually saw Tess say that. Did she?

Also, people will get over it regardless of which way it goes (although as an artist, I take this very seriously--it's more than just which lines I like better, it's a matter of upholding my morals). So the 'getting over it' bit is a moot point.
