Has anyone tried to contact Equi about this? She'd probably be really glad to have her old horse removed- I know I would be mortified to see my two year old art still being paraded around!

I've already messaged a few of her close friends and such from dA, but they only knew her on CS. I can't find any traces of contact.

I can't tell you how furious I would be if they decide to give us a choice and still change it even though there are loads of unhappy people. If they said that they were going to give us a choice, they need to stick to their words, because while they do own / operate the site, it would be pointless if there weren't any users to keep it popular. I'm sure if they leave it the same people will get over it and the majority of things will go back to normal the way they were. All this idea is doing is causing people to fight, bash art, and express how they're superior over someone else.

Well... I, for one, am a bit unsure about changing it. I'm a newbie, and may not be as experienced, but I think that it may be better to have the old ones. There's nothing like originality, right? It'd be like taking off the Warrior Cat and Malk Cat linearts to convert into normal cat linearts, in my opinion... It would really sadden me to see these lovely linearts disappear... I'm a fan of them!

It's kind of like voting on a president, a ton of people voted for him and a bunch of others didn't. I realize not everyone will be happy but overall, that's what a vote is for. Later on anyway everyone adjusts to what's going on the best way it can be applied to their lives.

You say there are 'loads' of unhappy people, but the majority want the change. You'll never please everybody, but you need to please the most people you can.
I'm sorry if people truly like the lines, but it just seems wrong to not let the majority win.
If they leave it the same, it causes a TON of problems already stated all over this thread. Yes some people have been rude, on both sides, but that doesn't mean the idea of putting it to a vote and changing it is a bad one.

Edit: In fact, I bet if they did change it, people would be upset for a week, maybe a bit more, and then move on. Because in the end, its not that big of a deal.

Agreed Solfeggio, it seems to me that the majority of people that voted actually wanted the change.. there is over 500 votes between the people who said yes and the people who said no and that doesn't include the people who weren't sure or said maybe to the change. It would be interesting I think to see the change. Change isn't always a bad thing XD

Plus I would love to see how the old items are fixed up to fit the new lines! I love the designs that equimagine did but no items that I want to use will fit them without looking stupid Would be glad to actually use them rather than throwing them into a trade group and ignoring them

In my opinion, YES they should be changed. I'm pretty new to CS but one of the first things that stood out to me while going through the archives was the different horse line types, and not in a good way! >.< I understand people's attachment's to their current pets, (I actually like the old pony PPS better myself) but on average I think the new line art looks better! I also think it would remove some unnecessary confusion for new players and make the Malk/Tess pets more special/unique... Overall I think this is a good idea and hope it happens!

If the staff goes through with the project, it'll be because it's what the majority of users want. There may be quite a few unhappy people, yes, but majority beats minority regardless.

The majority of users on this thread have expressed their desire for the change. Take a look at the poll. There's quite a difference.

Sure, there are a lot of unhappy people, but compromise us necessary on both sides. It has already been established that certain pets and lines will be kept the same (I.e. the zebras), while the lines that are causing issues will be updated. Or at least, this is what is proposed.

The ones who say they'll quit if the change goes through are mostly making idle threats. And for those who do make the decision to quit CS because some of the old horse lines were updated, there will be plenty more members that join. Those who quit won't create much of a dent.
