Did you see the updated wave pony? That is a massive improvement over the somewhat blurry, orignal design, imo.
I know quite a few people (me included) who don't care much at all for the old ponies and use them as trading fodder. Trading on CS actually has very little to do with looks, anyways. People want to complete their collections, and a large section of the CS population is not going to suddenly stop wanting to trade horses just because of a line switch. CS doesn't quite work that way.

But at the same time, it's still traced work - how would you like it if you took a picture (of which you worked months to get - and yes, there are photographers who do spend that length of time) and then found it had been used on an adoptables site? If Equimagine didn't ask for permission to trace, it isn't fair to the photographer who actually made the work. Even though it may look nice, it's simply not fair.

i know but it would be worse if they decided to go through with it, it would have more of an impact on those against because its their fav pets, it causes mass complications

and many more.[/quote]

What about all of the equi horses that will simply be deleted if this doesn't go through?
I know myself, and some of my friends are planning on simply deleting our Equimagine horses if they aren't changed. Simply because we can't trade them off because before this, nobody wanted them.

Yes I did see the wave pony, that is why I voted NO. The original look is what they should keep, if I were an artist I would not want someone to change or revamp my design in any way. I realize that she copied art and gave her art to CS and all that, but I still think it is bad enough that they are going to change the lines, so why not at LEAST keep the design looking like it did.

I've been watching this thread for a bit and just wanted to point out...if you don't know how rarities work, please don't post about it.

ALL equi pets except for the special ones are super hard to trade. Take a look at my trade group, I think those are even still original adopts i did. Changing them into the new line-art will hardly do anything when it comes to trading value. Maybe the older rares will actually get trade-able if they get switched, which to me is a huge, huge, huge pro.

Also, i think you all are getting extremely off-topic again. The dead horse has been beat, Repeating yer opinions over and over again is really, really not needed. Think everybody gets it now.

Copying/Tracing/Modifying/Claiming ownership of other peoples art/lineart:

If you copy, trace, or edit someone else's art (without their permission) this is considered a form of art theft.

Don't trace or freehand copy another person's art, unless you have their permission.
Don't modify or edit another person's art unless you have their permission.

Art theft is not tolerated here. Do not copy/trace/edit/use anybody's pictures without their express permission.

I agree. I would have thought that the moment people found out that it was art theft everyone would vote 'yes.'

To be honest, I find it really odd that so many people had trouble trading away equimagines o.O I traded away most of my equimagines pretty easily and fairly (and as far as I can remember, none of the people I traded with said that they hoarded the equimagines), and no, I'm not talking about trading them in 2009/2010--I traded them in 2011/2012.
