Yes, but later, I think.

None of the artists are Equimagine, so how could they possibly know exactly what she intended? Many little, but important, details can and will be missed in the transfer. Designs will have to be altered to fit onto the new lines. The artists will likely take artistic liberty if they aren't exactly sure what Equimagine was going for. So, fact of the matter is, even the designs won't stay intact. They'll just be similar, not the same.
So really, it's a lose/lose situation for those who like the horses that are currently on the Equimagine lines. Not only will the pet's lines be changed, but so will the designs of those pets. Either thing you could have liked them for will likely be lost.Yes! On the front, even, a design was changed a tiny bit. It went from a more square-ish shape to a smaller little blob. Not only are we losing beautiful lines which some people liked more (including me) and editing CS history, we are even changing the designs!
Also, people use photos all the time in Oekaki. Let's go and change all of their stuff, too, and put it on some newer, fresher lines! It's art-theft! Yes, I know this is not the whole story, but it's part of it. Equi made a problem in the past, but that was years ago. We shouldn't suddenly change it now. It's against the site rules for someone to reference or copy photographs without permission to do so, and breaking said rule can get you in trouble.Art theft is not tolerated here. Do not copy/trace/edit/use anybody's pictures without their express permission.Breaking these rules may result in a warning or ban from CS.

I really wish that more people that joined a few years ago were still active today.

Yes, some of those lines are direct traces, you can't deny that. I'm not debating those lines. But most of the others in question are a stretch with the photo references that were given and is debatable what source she may or may not have used. As it was pointed out before, you can find several pictures to match every nearly every drawing. The "Arab" line trace, for example. What about this photo? Or this one? Or this one?
Or oh look, If I twist and turn the pony lines too, the neck, chest, back, the back leg, and part of the belly match up (o look, even part of the tail!)...or even heeeey that head REALLY matches.Even that eye placement! or omg look, that back leg, up to its butt really matches up!
